If you've used live CD Boots, you could try and add nomodeset to the kernel line in the grub boot menu. This would disable kernel mode setting, which causes problems on some graphics cards.

In the BOOT Menu, Press TAB while highlighting "BOOT" Option

Just add "nomodeset" to the end of the text..This disables Kernel Mode Setting and F11 will be up and running....

Unable to boot Fedora 8

From what i have been able to find on this board and fedora forums, the issue you are having is not a bootloader issue... Assuming all hardware is good and functional. it is likely that getting another video card and dissabling the onboard then reinstalling linux will fix u up :)
from what i have read it is an issue with x not being able to start and fedora sets the default runlevel to graphical so.... it appears to freeze but i bet you can hit ctrl+alt+F1/F2 to get to the various terminal screens if this is the case then you need to change graphics cards and even then it may not fix the issue. This issue seems to be a pervasive issue for all versions of fedora back at least to core 3 for this board for me this indicates hardware incompatibility (specifically the video controller)
I hope this helps... if not let me know

About Linux fedora and XP

Without knowing more about your system, the key rule is to install XP first, then Fedora.
If that doesn't work then it's time to put more partitions on your hard drive, and install the 2 operating systems on different partitions, again, remembering that Windows XP has to be the first installed.
