What is the Manufacture of the machine and the model number.

Is the copier displaying any numbers or letters besides a service call light. The copier will display more then you are telling. Need a little more info. to give a educated answer or do you want a SWAG answer?
Try a software reset which involes holding down the * and # (next to the 0) buttons for about 10 seconds until you hear a beap. You should then see "Now loading. Plese wait" and it should start up normally.
Its possible the machine has just locked up. If the above procudure dosen't work power off at the power piont and leave off overnight.
Please advise if any SC codes are present with the spanner for further help.
