The quickest way to get out of DOS is to hold down the power key until the computer shuts off. Then during restart, hold down the option key until the drives icons appear on screen. Use the arrow keys to select your OS for start up and away you go..

There is only one os mode for my mac and i can use the arrows because there is only one option for the OS
When i hold down the option key it just comes out the network thingy please help

If you are running OSX, .exe files are windows only, there is no DOS mode in this OS.

It does have a command line mode called 'Single User Mode' where UNIX commands can be executed. Get into SUM by holding Command S at startup.
To go back to the Mac OS X interface, type 'reboot' and press the Return key.
