Get a different phone from a company other than LG. Also get a different carrier if you are using verizon. Neither company actually wants us to know how to change the number of rings. Neither company has customer service that knows how to change it as well.

On the uniden TRU9466 is there any way to increase the number of rings before it goes into voicemail?

The TRU9466 isn't an answering machine. The number of rings is controlled by whatever answering machine or voicemail system you have on your phone line. Please refer to the documentation for the answering machine or voicemail system to change the ring count.

If you need further assistance, please reply to this post and specify the answering machine or voicemail system.

How do i change the number of rings before voicemail picks up on a samsung rugby

For all of you that want a real answer here ya go. This isn't something you can change on your phone this has to be changed with your service provider. If you are with AT&T, like I am, then this is the solution for you (link of where I found it below as well). 1. enter *#61*11# and press send/talk on your phone.
2. write down the number your calls are currently forwarded to (usually +1401#######, but not always). this is your voicemail deposit number.
3. decide how long you want the phone to ring in 5 second intervals. the maximum time is 30 seconds. i'd recommend 25 seconds or less, as using 30 may cause you to be billed for a minute of airtime each time someone is forwarded to voicemail.
4. now enter **61*[number from step 2]*11*[number from step 3, use 2 digits]# and press send/talk.

example
voicemail deposit number is +14015551212
you want it to ring for 20 seconds
you would enter **61*+14015551212*11*20# and press send/talk.

if you have trouble with the above procedure, you can always call customer care at 800-331-0500 to change it.
OR QUESTION: How can I adjust the number of times my wireless phone will ring before the caller goes to voicemail? ANSWER: Contact Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500 or dial 611 from your wireless phone to change the amount of time your phone will ring before going to voice mail. The adjustments made by Customer Care are based on the traditional ring heard by the caller, not the unique Ringtone you hear from your phone. I just wanted to add that increasing the ring length to 30 seconds will not cause you to be charged a minute should the caller go to voicemail. This was confirmed by an AT&T technician.

I would like to increase the number of rings. It currently rings 4 times. Is it possible to change the number of rings

The 25839 isn't an answering machine. If you have a separate answering machine connected to your phone line, consult its documentation. If you subscribe to a voicemail system offered by your phone company, contact them for instructions.

How do I redo my voicemail message?

You will need to log into the voicemail system as you would to check your messages. There will then be a number to press (listen to the voice prompts) for voicemail options. Somewhere in there will be the option the change greeting/message. If you do not pay for a voicemail then you will have to live with the standard one your service provider uses, although you may be able to change "your call has been forwarded to the voicemail box of "JOHN DOE", is currently unavailable. This would be changed the same way I stated above.

How do I change the number of rings on my lg phone before it goes to voice mail

This is usually set by your network provider, so you have 2 choices.

1) Call the network Customer Service number and ask them to extend the time before it diverts.

2) Try the following network code to change it yourself:

**61*XXXXX**TT# (then send/dial)
XXXXX = The number you dial to access your voicemail (if it starts with a zero remove it)

TT = The time in seconds before diverting. The maximum value is usually 30, although some people report problems when using 30 seconds. I believe the maximum is specified by the individual network, so try different value 15 / 20 / 25 / 30.

I need to change the number of rings before phone goes to voicemail

First, call your voice mail. After the messages you will be given a menu to follow. On the Sony Ericsson W350 I went to Personal Options (4) then to Administrative Options (2) and finally Prompt Level (3). After reaching Prompt Level you have the option to shorten or extend the number of rings. At this point I chose to shorten the prompt and then I exitted the system.
