Where is the drain hooked up? is there an obstruction where it drains into sink. You will have to remove drain line where it runs into drain under sink and see if line is clear. I have seen where they dump into the disposal and they never removed the disposal plug

Hi,
Here is a tip that I wrote that will help you with your dishwasher not draining
problem...
MOD DU943PWKB0 WHIRLPOOL PROBLEMS
My Whirlpool dishwasher is not working. I pulled it out and when I leaned it forward it seemed to work once againe, but once I placed it back into it's slot it would not come on. Checked the wiring and everything seems fine. Unsure of what i should do.
Seems you answered your own question here. You need to make an air gap in the drain hose - take as much slack as possible and make a curve (upside down U) under you sink as high as you can go. Make sure you clip ot to back of the cabinet to stabilize it. Good luck
This dishwasher being only seven weeks old I suggest you contact the store where you bought this unit and tell them to book a service call and send a technition out to solve this, the reason I am suggesting this is that the unit is under guarentee and if you try to repair it will void any guarentee or warrentee that is on the machine. If you do work on it and something big and expensive goes wrong the store(manufacturer) will not honor there guarentee when they see that you worked on it so better to be safe than sorry. If you do not come right with them let me know and we can see what we can do from there.
My Whirlpool dishwasher is only 2 years old and I started having the same problems. I dismantled everything I could and washed and scrubbed the entire unit with EVERYTHING..to no avail, dirty dishes!! But I discovered a remedy! Try using Lemi-Shine for about a week with your regular wash-soap. If you are using the tablet form of soap, stop and try the powdered form. Follow the instructions on the Lemi-Shine container. You can find it just about anywhere for around $3.50. I was within "5 seconds" of replacing my 2 year old Whirlpool dishwasher when this caught my eye and I figured why not try it too? After the first wash I noticed a big difference the cleanliness of the dishes..and now it is running GREAT after 2 weeks!
