Your best bet is to try a universal remote but you will need to make sure it will work with the brand of remote and model you have. You could also try a second hand one on ebay.

My seiki tv volume goes down but not up

Yes, buy a remote control :>) They are readily available, no need to program and can be obtained from Amazon, eBay and specialty remote retailers like www.remotes.com

Google

Seiki (model) replacement remote

The most likely reason for your issue is a dirty button and the contacts. Switch Contact Cleaner may fix it.

The power on/off button on the remote control works but the channel & volume buttons no longer work

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Go to Remotes.com - Or - you can call 1-800- remotes to get a replacement. The new recommended replacement remote sells for $19.95 and has a large red mute button on it. The old one is no longer available unless you wish to do a good web search or try ebay.

Volume down button doesn't work

hi, make sure the face pins are clean; try resetting the unit; check to see if the feel of the down switch is the same as the up switch....if not then your down switch is faulty and needs to be replaced. confirm the volume down operation by using the remote control (if available), if it works then your problem lies with the switch or a broken connection between the switch pins and the face control circuit. cheers.

Hello, the most used buttons can wear out over time. On/standby and volume are the ones that are used most often. I suggest purchasing a new remote. It is available at shoponkyo.com. Thank you, Onkyo USA

880 universal remote volume button broke. little rubber botton on inside that pushes the volume button on inside broken.face plate cracked and arrow button on left right underneath face broken and missing...

My volume button also broke (actually, the VOLUME UP function stopped working). Rather than trying to get the remote fixed, I found a different solution...
I reprogrammed the + key (bottom left of the remote) to be my new Volume UP function. You can do this by going to any of the activities you've already defined, and adding a custom button to the activity.
Choose the + button (it will probably not have an existing function), and tell it to use the Volume Up function of the component you normally use for volume. In my case, it was the Home Theater Receiver.
I hope that helps.

Volume up button does not work

Lynn, common problem on your chassis, problem is the tact switches are no longer available, (I checked and the remote is NLA also), the good news is any tv shop probably has some of these in their "boneyard", call up some of your local shops and tell them model # and what your problem is I`m sure one of them will have a few control boards kicking around, cheap fix, hope this answers your question, Happy Holidays, BMW Rider
