different locations you go sometimes have dead spots so less signal wont send mms. you can also connect to your home/public wifi to send mms,

1-Check & see if Mute is on.
2-CHeck & make sure ringer volume is on (settings from Main screen,pressing 4square looking button)
3-Turn phone completely OFF,kinda like resetting it,my phone does this occasionally & does fine if i restart it.
If this doesnt work---Clarify your Prob a lil more & go from there.

So the phone I have is the motorola hint, QA30, actually identical in design (except square, red and black) and I have similar problems, my right navigator (right shoulder) and my up and left buttons, as well as my send button, will randomly stop working, I find (in all seriousness, no joke) that sometimes hitting the phone (lightly of course) seems to get the buttons to work again,

the lock code for motorola hint, should be 1234, or 0000.
if this doesn't work, pres the back button then press # , type the las four digits,
if nones of those works, call your service provider

Go to main menu, multimedia, music and sounds,ringtones and sounds,

select the ringtone or sounds, click option, send. on message.

You can't send the default ringtones. because they are protected

i think the flex cable went loose. Just press the lower left corner when switching it on. it will help. has helped me

Call your service provider ...

Switch off the phone as soon as possible. Allow it to dry else the circuits will be affected. Check if it works tomorrow, if it doesn't you might need professional help. Some components will require change.

Same problem here!!! I was in the middle of a text and it shut down outta no where then i turn it back on and it just flashes the purple circled M at me....I dont have a warranty on my phone but luckily I called alltel and they sent me a box to send the phone back and they are replacing it free of charge. I love the hint its my favorite phone of all the phones ive had....alltel always satisfies its customers in the end and ill definatly give the hint another chance...bottom line...call alltel have them send you the return box and mail it to them wait a week and you got a new phone!! good luck!
