Temperatures are haywire; ice maker not working either

Hi, I'm looking to find how to reset the temperatures in both the refrigerator and the freezer. Right now, my freezer shows -1 and the refrigerator is at 29. I can't find in the manual how to adjust these. I replaced the water filter yesterday...and feel like I should maybe unplug the frig and plug it back in to have it reset itself. What do you suggest?

I have a side-by-side, about 6 years old with an instruction manual that is either missing pages or doesn't have details. The model number is PSS29NGMD CC

My Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator model 59679243010 ice maker is mot working.

Check your temperatures, that typically happens when the freezer is not cold enough, Clean your condenser, that may be the cheapest fix.

WHAT CAUSES MY MODEL PLH567EESB9 SIDE BY SIDE TEMPERATURE ON BOTH FREEZER AND REFRIGERATOR TO RISE . WHEN I SUT OFF OR TURN ON THE ICE MAKER THE TEMPS GO BACK TO NORMAL SETTINGS

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that the temperatures are rising on your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# PLHS67EESB9. I also see that the temperatures go back to normal when you shut off or turn on the ice maker. There could be a possibility that there is a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. I suggest resetting your appliance, be either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power keep track of your temperatures. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

Why is my frigidaire frig with code H and 1 flashing on model ffhs2611Lwf?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FFHS2611LWF, is flashing an "H1" code. This is actually stating "HI", as in either the refrigerator or freezer, temperatures are Hi and not at a safe level. First, press any button to stop the alarm and clear the HI temperature. If you are still receiving the alarm, I suggest checking the freezer, to make sure that everything is still frozen, and nothing is defrosting as, well as checking the refrigerator temperatures. If things are defrosting or the temperature is Hi in your refrigerator, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, Give your freezer 24 hours to stabilize at the default temperatures of 0 degrees for the freezer and 37 degrees for the refrigerator. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully.

Making hardly any ice

Are the ice cubes being formed the same size as before? If freezer temperatures are increasing above 5 Degrees Fahrenheit in freezer this will slow down and at times stop ice production. Look around the rear wall of your freezer to see if a layer of frost is building. If yes this will indicate a defrost problem that in turn raise freezer and fresh food temperatures. Here is a Whirlpool Ice Maker Troubleshooting PDF You can find this info on this page HERE You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these documents. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is available as a free download. I will be here should you have any questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

My frigidaire gallery french door refrigerator is making ice very slowly. the water is coming out fine. It is only 4 weeks old. i got solutions from frigidaire from the valve to the water filter. Any...

Hi,
The theory to making ice is temperature, water, and ice mold to function. What are the temperatures inside the freezer currently. It must be below 15 degrees to function and prefer the freezer to be at 0 degrees to product effectively. Are you ice cubes solid or hollow? If hollow you can jam the ice inside the ice maker causing slow production. Rare to have a water valve problem this young be is possible. I would look at temperatures first than cycle time to determine the next step. In a perfect world, your unit should drop ice every hour to and hour and a half.
Good Luck

Frost form inside the ice maker door in the freezer

Any time moisture freezes to something in the freezer it is two possible reasons that are most likely. The defrost system is defective, blocked or there is outside air being drawn into the freezer from a faulty seal or the ice maker door at the dispenser is sticking open. Keep an eye on these things and freezer temperatures and fresh food temperatures. Your refrigerator is complex and I have the service manual and willing to help you solve this. Thanks, and let me know, Sea Breeze

Clicking noise, ice maker out, freezer temp high

Low temperatures are absolutely required for proper operation of ice makers components. Dirty cooling coils or possible low refrigerant.

Ice make stopped working and now makes only 12 cubes per 12 hours

All ice maker operations are based on freezer temperatures. Check the freezer temps. If, you are satisfied your freezer is at zero or better. Then you need a new ice maker.
