TV repair I have a 2 year old Phillips 32 inch regular tv........ I turned the TV on on day and all that is on the screen is black screen with rainbow colored lines at the bottom of the screen with no sound......is it worth fixing?

I once had a problem with a Phillips tv.It was less than one year old and one day ,all of a suddenm a black screen came up.I elarned it was called the "black screen of death" and that other people had gone through the same thing.Someone online had actually written to Phillips and they had gotten a new TV form them,so I tried the same thing and amazingly,Phillips gave us a new TV and came and took the old one.The enw worked fine. So you may have a lemon on your hands.Unfortunately, I do not have the letter I sent to them but the replacement they sent me was part of their "Rapid Replacement" program.This wa sin 2008 so I'm not sure if they still ahve it but it may be worth a try.

If a 4 year old 32 inch set likely cheaper to replace than repair it assuming parts are even still available.

Call the Philips tv corp. for ur tv warrenty repair.The tv have power supply board,problems.

I'm having the same problem with the same TV. I called around to repair shops and I guess it's fixable. Haven't taken it in yet but I was told it most likely is a bad module. But this seems to be a really common problem with this television

if you have back ground of tv repair, remove back cover but you need tools and tester, check heater line from crt ckt board going to horizontal section.

I HAVE LOST THE TOP PORTION OF MY SCREEN, APPROX 2 1/2". IS THERE AN EASY WAY OF REPAIRING?

What is the model or chassel number it be a few thing H.O.T Resistor Caps etc..most likely horizontal output transistor.
