Some Memory Cards have like a little slide button on the side.If you have been taking the Memory Card out the little button might have been pushed.

Or if you have been taking the card out and sometimes forgeting it was out the pictures will not show up like it is supposed to .THhe unknow pictures without the memory card will sometimes say FORMAT ERROR.

You have several options:

1. see in the specification details of your camera what memory card is compatible for camera. for S630 it is SDHC/MMC/SD card (Up to 4GB Guaranteed). see if you're using memory card within this capacity and type. If you're using a different memory card type and capacity, try to use memorycard that is compatible with your camera.

2. try to use memory card to other devcie like cameras, cellphones and other devices and if it still has error problem, your card may be the one defective. use other cards.

3. try to take pictures without using memory card. use only the internal memory of camera. if camera still display this error meassage, camera needs service.

hope these options solve one of your problems. c",)

in option number 2, if that camera still has the error message, the camera maybe the one defective not the card. if so, try to contact service centers.

I just had this problem with a brand new memory card. My camera is SDHC compatible and the memory card is SDHC, so there shouldn't have been a problem. But there was because I couldn't do anything!

So, I plugged the memory card into a reader and into my laptop. When it showed up in the Removable drive on my computer, I right clicked on it and did a FORMAT. Since my camera is SDHC compatible, I used FAT32 to reformat the card. If my camera was not compatible with SDHC, I would have used FAT16. It worked like a charm!

How to format Sumsung ES30 Memory Card is? It have to Format in Card reader or inside camera?

First of all, be aware that formatting will erase the card so download any pics you want to save first. Then, insert the card into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Always format in the camera, never in the computer.

My samsung s630 says the memory is full. I cleared photos from the sd card and internal memory, but still can only take four pictures in the lowest quality and size setting.

Memory card might gone bad but can do this following troubleshooting step. Formatting a memory ** This is used for formatting the memory. If you run [Format] on the memory, all images, including the protected images, will be deleted. Be sure to download important images to your PC before formatting the memory. Sub menus
[No] : The memory will not be formatted. Press the menu button three times and the menu display will disappear.
[Yes] : A [Processing!] message appears and the memory will be formatted. If you run FORMAT in Play mode, a [No Image!] message will appear. 1d36119.png
Be sure to run [Format] on the following types of memory card.
- A new memory card, or an unformatted memory card
- A memory card that has a file this camera can't recognize or one that has been taken from another camera.
- Always format the memory card using this camera. If you insert a memory card that has been formatted using other cameras, memory card readers, or PCs, you will get a [Card Error!] message. ** There might be bad sectors on your memory card.

What happens if you choose the setup format on the

Hi,
If you choose the format option in the camera's menu it will basically format your memory card or the internal memory if you don't have a card. Formatting will erase all your pictures, try not to choose this option until you have backed up all your pictures to a computer.

Sandisk is On card lock???

The card probably needs to be formatted for your camera but that will erase the pictures already on the card. Far as I know each card must be formatted to the camera for which it is to be used. Use the menu button to find format. (Last icon, "wrench2", format is toward the bottom of the list. Remember you will lose the pictures already on the card, so save them first.
