Hi, I have been trying to fix this problem, please help me. I recently installed a firewire pci card so i could download my sony digital camcorder and make dvd for family everything works great until after the burn when it plays back there is a loud clicking noise thru the whole thing.
my firewire card is nexxtech pci 3+1 port 1394 card model N3PFWPC.
I am using NERO 7 when it previews before burning it is fine it is during burn process.
Thank you
Please notice that the firewire 410 is known to have problems with firewire chipsets that are not manufactured by either Texas Instruments or NEC.
This means that it's not enough to buy a Firewire card or to make sure you have it on your motherboard. You have to make sure that the chipset (the chip that actually manage the data transfer) is manufactured either by NEC or TI.
It's not always easy finding out the manufacturer of the chipset, but it's possible (for example my GigaBute motherboard came with a TI chip and it was written on its spec). Good luck!
Are you using the 410 for recording or as a playback consumer soundcard? Is it connected to external speakers and if so, what type?
Keep me posted.
