Microphone pods on polycom viewstation fx dont work
I can not get the microphone pods to work on our polycom viewstation fx. I can place and recieve calls, we can hear the far sites but they can not hear us. I've purchased new cable and now the light on the pods is always red (with the old calbles the light on the pods never came on). I've tried muting and unmuting the mics but they still don't work. I'm not sure what else to check. Could the microphone port be bad? Is there another way to add microphones to the unit?

How many lines (circuits) do you have going to your system? Is it possible they are out of order? Give me your ISDN numbers and I'll try to connect to you. Where are you located? My e-mail address is [email protected]
First you should check if the power supply is working. You can buy a different one on ebay or if you have a second one you can see if that is the cause. If your power supply says "Spectre" instead of Polycom then it is a good chance that the power supply is at fault. Those weren't so reliable.
Try disconnecting the ISDN module and then cycling the power. If that doesn't work speak to your support provider about repair costs. Ultimately you may need to replace it because of its age (it might be End of Life and not available for repair)
Are you able to move the camera using the remote?
If not, then you may have a hardware issue.
If yes, then try to connect to the Viewstation (web interface) using its IP from a Computer.
