I have a Sony KDFE50A10 50 inch HDTV When I turn it on for it has the lines verticle on it it takes a few minutes and then clears...tv or cable?

The lcd panel is faulty,dry joint on flexi,can only replace with a new panel

if you remove the rear panel you will see the board on the far left has a large transformer with a large red HV cable coming out of it. Thats the flyback. Now look to the right side of that board in line with the flyback. The aluminum heat sink with the fins has the verticle IC. Its the first heatsink closest to where youre looking on the right side of the board with the flyback.

i have a 52 inch tv and the picture is not clear model number hd52w66. there's 3 color lines, blurry and out of focus. what is wrong?

Symptom shows its Lamp Replacement time in KDF-E60A20 TV
If you have not replaced TV Lamp yet then change it.
Lamp is available in Part Store and lamp procedure is written in User Manual.

Press the Menu Key on your remote. If your menu shows clearly on the screen, then there is a problem with your source.

You most likely have a bad address board or the conntection is dirty between the address board and the PD (Plasma Display Panel). This is not a do it yourself repair as any damage to the cables to the PDP would require a PDP replacement.

This is a very easy fix. Your cable box is not grounded correctly. To fix this you need a AC Plug adapter. This will change your TV ac plug from a 3 wire to a 2 wire. This may sound funny, but trust me on this. I have fix a lot of TV in NY doing just this.
