New usb cable dosent work :S

Hi craig931, First try downloading the latest driver of your printer and your usb converter compatible for windows 7. Second Checked your device manager if your printer and usb to parallel driver properly installed, it should be there. If not yet installed try using different usb port one at a time until the cable have been detected. Third if you see already the printer port force to change it to USB001 or Com1, then try to print. regards,

Hi. Hope you got it working fine now on your Windows 7. If not, go to Start Menu > Devices and Printers > right click on the Lexmark print object > Troubleshoot. Make sure the printer is on and is still connected to the computer via the usb cable.

this is may be usb cable problem but you follow this steps to get solved Go to printer and faxes option and choose the printer model which you installed just right click on it you will see the option of use printer online. Also I suggest you to change the usb port and the cable also still if you facing the problem follow these steps, right click on my computer and go to properties then hardware in that click on device manger and check there is any other device is listed if it is there just remove it and click for scan for hardware changes when he prompt for driver reinstall the driver cd.

these front usb ports cause prob lem always kindly change the whole panel with usb ports in front they are faulty and giving problems and will create more problems if u dont change them kindly get new one u can find them easily on any store and simply chang them see the connector going to the motherboard plug it out and plu the new one at same location

reinstall the software this should fix the communication problem. Make sure the usb cable is not attach until the software will ask to attach the cable.

Are you conecting via USB? If so, did you wait to connect the USB cable until the installation advised you to? If not, uninstall the software and driver, unplug the USB cable, reinstall the software and driver, and when prompted, plug in the USB cable.

Try to put an other usb device like a memory stick in your e machine .check if this works fine.Also check the cable that connects your kodak to the E-machine.

Did you check after installing the printer that you have the printer in 'installed printers' in 'control panel'?
Your printer may have been there, but not set as default printer.
Did you also notice a message popping up first time you connected the printer to usb saying new hardware detected?
Try to install and connect the printer on a different computer ( a laptop will be fine), intalling software first as usual.
If it works is either usb channels on original computer or a windows problem.

If Windows does not see the device when you connect usb (ensure cable is ok) to different computer, and you are sure you are doing everything ok, then it is probably usb printer socket that is faulty.
If Windows see that there is a new device detected, but it cannot install printer, even after doing disk setup procedure fine, then there is an issue either with the printer or with the drivers you are using (they may be for a different operative system for example).

An hardware problem of this kind is rather unfrequent, particularly on a new printer. Check that you are doing everything fine, that the printer is not in installed printer, even if not default one, and that you are using the right setup disk, and that this is performing the whole setup procedure.

check power cable of your pc and printer. go to manufacturer website and download printer driver

disconnect USB, go to RUN and type in services.msc and then find print spool and right click, then choose restart .plug in usb
