I have an ASRock Wolfdale1333-D667 as mother board and i've just buy a Radeon sapphire HD 5770 and i can't have an image at all. everythink is plugged well, tripple checked.
is there a compatibylity problem ?
Same issue here with ASRock 1333 GLAN and Radeon 5770 Sapphire... No solutions...
BTW, I do not even get to BIOS screen at all. All is black as if no card is plugged in.
After a few hours of search the result is:
Some ASRock boards do not support GEN2 video cards (such as Radeon HD 5770).
Only solution found: New motherboard.
Some suggest flashing GPU BIOS to GEN1, but no "how"s and no success stories found yet. Also I consider it a poor solution.
It is logical if you think of it. A 150 - 200 EUR card in a 50 EUR motherboard... not a good mix.

Actually, one thing. Intel motherboards, like your Wolfdale is an Intel board, they don't work with AMD graphics cards. I've seen this arise many times, the graphics card is AMD and your MOBO/CPU is Intel... that's a red flag in my book automatically. Take it back and try an Intel Graphics card.

I never checked the Bios and i don't know how to work in.
Have you checked your BIOS to see if the BIOS recognizes the graphics card? I'm looking at the specs of both and I am not seeing anything that would really stop these two from being compatible.
