Go to your local battery or electrical/electronics supply store, where they sell sealed-lead-acid (SLA) "gel-cell" batteries - you will need two 12V 5A batteries wired in series - they are 3-1/2 x 2-3/4 x 4 inches with the terminals on top. Take the ones out of the scooter first, to show them and get the right size.

How do I fix an Kymco Agility 50 motor scooter that doesn't start?

Question edited for clarity, changed 'carbonator', (a thing that puts bubbles in soda) to a carburetor (a device that atomises gasoline).

The new battery is fine, in fact 6 amps is better. It has more staying power and will start the bike easier in cold weather. It is better for your lighting as well. The problem is likely to be that your battery is not fully charged when you got it. Put it on a 2 amp battery charger for 8 hours.

These two adverts have 4 amp and 7 amp as suitable.

GoGo Elite 4 wheel scooter - appears to be fully charged but when you try to go forward it goes a foot then stops. I get 2 beeps. It will go in reverse with no problem. If I am not sitting in it you can...

How old is the scooter? 2 Bleeps indicates low battery voltage, and such, require replacement. When you are in reverse, the current draw is a lot less than when going forward, just like not being sat on the scooter too. As soon as any real load is applied to the scooter, the power will drop down below 16v and will cause a controller trip (2 bleeps)
However, this could also be caused by bad battery connections, either inside the battery box, or where the contacts meet on the bottom of the pack - onto the chassis. Check for discoloured pins / connections.

My Daytona 3 scooter does not hold the charge very well. Few minutes after a full charge (takes about 11/2 hrs to get the steady green light), the green light starts flashing and the charge indicator is at...

Take your batteries out, and take them down to .a battery shop. Have the battery load tested, Reading the voltage under no load conditions will not tell you much, normally the batteries voltage gives you its state of charge. These batteries will show a full charge at no load, as soon as you put any load at all on the voltage drops off and you don't have much in amperage output. The amperage is what is important when you right down to it. When load testing your battery they will use an instrument that they punch in the cranking amps. The instrument will look for the voltage drop off at a load of what ever amp value you punched into the instrument. The instrument will give you a pass\fail indication for the cranking amps value the technician punched into the keypad. There can be a problem when load testing batteries. The technician doesn't key in a amperage value, This is what happened to me. The instrument when no value is entered will use a default value, Say the default amperage is usually set at around 200 Cranking amps. My technician was either rushed or just being lazy. He set the load tester to use the default values, my battery passed with the tester set up the way it was. My battery is a 35 amp\hr battery and puts out 480 cranking amps In actuality my batteries weren't putting out nearly that much. It would put out 265 cranking amps for about 2 seconds then die. He told me the batteries were good. When i brought the batteries back to him
i didn't let him take them into thee back room. THIS TIME HE DID THE CHECKS OUT IN PLAIN SIGHT OF ME. I asked to do a comparison between my batteries and new ones. We had to retest a number of time in order to find the upper limit of the new batteries. As it turned out my batteries were bad and all my problems disappeared with my old batteries. NOTE, scooters use deep cycle batteries only Glass mate batteries if you want to take your scooter on a flight.

Now if you had your batteries load tested and you know their good, its got to be the charger thats malfunctioning. Check the charger connection points make sure there tight. One connector should go to the negative battery terminal, the other connector should go too the positive terminal and read +24v. Make sure the connections are solid. Hope this helps

I need to replace the battery case for my Golden tech liteway scooter. Or i need to see a wiring diagram. Can you help?

This scooter requires (2) 12 volt 15 Ah batteries. Typically you would open the case and replace the two batteries inside not the entire case and batteries.
Locate the screws that hold the case together and open it. Make a diagram of the how the batteries are connected. Obtain the new batteries locally or on-line, install and fully charge.
Hope this helps.

Just wondering if I can buy extra batteries and charge them without them being in the scooter and how hard is it to change out the batteries, my goal is for the kids to ride one one set while the other set...

Depends, some tabs are directly soldered to the batteries themselves so you will need a soldering iron to remove the tabs. After that, it wouldn't be too hard to remove and replace.

Keep in mind that these take 2x12volt batteries and these lead-acid type batteries may take a long time to charge depending on the current your charger is supplying.

If you plan to charge the two batteries with the stock charger, then you would have to wire the 2 batteries in series for 24volts (stock charger 24v) and for convenience you may also want to head out to your local electronics store to see if they have the female socket that the charger goes into, and possible some wire, connectors/tabs that attach to the batteries and possible some small alligator clips if required.

Trying to open the battery and just can't get it open. Can you tell me how many screws or where they are please? We're trying to figure out what size battery we need, got two different answers. Ordered...

The battery box for this scooter is easily taken apart to replace the batteries. Remove the battery box form the scooter and turn it upside down. There are 8 screws which hold the 2 halves of the battery box together. The screws require a long shaft Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove because they are at the bottom off long plastic round recesses in the battery box. Don't forget the 8 lock washers under the screw heads.
This scooter takes 2 batteries rated at 12 AH. The best type are AGM batteries (advanced glass mat). When you have the battery box apart, turn it right side up and pry the batteries off the velcro. Note which terminals are connected to red (+) and black (-) on each battery, The batteries and the terminals will be marked. Re-use the velcro by putting it on the new batteries to keep them secure in the box. Connect the four fast tab terminals to the batteries and push down on the batteries to get them to stick to the velcro. Turn the box over and install 8 screws making sure a lock-washer is under the screw head. Using your long screwdriver tighten securely. Plug in and test scooter and charging of the new batteries. Hope this helps.

8 screws 12 or 17 amp AGM

My battery pack on my fold n go has a short and

hi, ok now you need to check your wiring within the battery pack ,

If there are two batteries, you need to make sure that negative wire of one battery connects to the positive of the other battery,

now use the postiive and negative battery connections to connect to the scooter , that will give you your 24volts,

battery 1 connects battery 2
+ | - <------> + | -

== 24Volts

use the + of battery 1 & - of battery 2 to connect to the scooter.

Regards
GeWiz.
