Some application like Anti-Virus software or Firewall is blocking the Printer to connect it to the Computer.

1. Try disabling the Anti-Virus software or Firewall in the Computer and check. Or add the Printer as exception in the Anti-Virus software or Firewall.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver and check.

3. Power reset the Printer (turn it OFF, remove the power cable for one minute and then turn it ON) and check.

Good Luck!!!!

Gateway MP8708 Won't boot past BIOS and won't boot into CD/USB/Safe Mode on XP - Blank screen with keyboard dead - Num locks on and wireless light

Somehow your MBR (Master Boot Record) likely got corrupted or possibly your hard drive went bad coincidentally.

Simply, you will start your computer from your Windows CD/DVD install disk, then when at a DOS prompt ( D:\ ) you will then type: FDISK /MBR (press enter).

Find your Operating System install DVD and start your computer with it, then follow instructions within this discussion:
Restore Windows XP MBR without Windows XP disc

Alternatively, review my search results for other instructions:
fdisk mbr windows xp Google Search

Open Printers and Faxes- right click on this printer and click Sharing - click Sharing tab and click Share this printer, and then if you wish you could change theShare name, then click OK 3. Right click on theprinter - click Properties - click Print Test Page to confirm printerinstallation.
Follow these steps toconfigure the computers on your network :- 1. Open Printers and Faxes- click Add a printer - Next - select a network printer, or a printer attached to another computer - Next. 2. When I boot my computer the monitor flashes the Windows XP logo then goes dark and the computer shuts down and then restarts itself and start the process all over again and again

Try starting it in safe mode, F8 during the boot process, this loads a windows shell, once active, run a system restore.

(Programmes - Accessories - System tools - System restore)

Choose a date prior to your problems.

Toshiba Laptop A55-S306 shuts down with error messages

It sounds to me like a virus. Boot up from a recover cd or windows cd and reinstall freashly.

If you don't have a recovery cd, contact Toshiba for one. They go around for $40 to $50. If you can't get one, buy Windows Vista and boot up from that and reinstall.
