Is this a vented or non vented unit? have you checked the rinnai distributorship? call Adirondack Hardware in Keeseville NY. They have parts for Toyostove, Monitors and Rinnai heaters. Their staff are very well versed in all kero and propane heaters.

My Rinnai 1004F giving me error code 99

This fusible link may be open. Try jumpering the two leads and see if the unit operates. If it does replace the fusible link. Do not operate the unit without the fusible link for an extended period. It is a safety device and is there for a reason. Hope this helps.

What part do i change when convertin a ranni propane gas to natural gas

I think the part numbers listed in the solution are LPG injectors. The orifices (injectors) needed to change over from Propane (LPG) to Gas (NAT.) would be 2 High Injectors 100F-2031-B-1.80 and one Low Injector 1004F-2036-B-1.95.

In your experience is better to put a Rinnai Tankless Water heater in the attic, the garage or outside? Please help we are building a house and running behind on plumbing

depends on where you live. Also depends on your venting options. I believe the Rinnai is vented with a stainless steel kit....very limited and expensive.

I would suggest looking into a unit called Navien....it is 98% efficient and qualifies for the 30% tax credit....plus it is vented with PVC and can run 70-100 feet depending on the unit, making venting much cheaper and easier to do.

Rinnai 556F Not Exactly and "Energy Saver"...

Raise the thermistor. It is a black rubber probe located on the back of the heater close to the coldest spot in your home, the floor. Raise it a few inches. To do this you will need to unhook it from its holder and open the front of the heater to unravel the extra length of yellow wire.

Rinnai 1004F Heating the Outdoors!

Do you have the Economy button on? If so, and you have a large space to heat or the outside temp is very cold the unit may not be able to keep up. If this is the case the stove runs forever, trying to reduce the temp by 2 degrees every 30 minutes. This may not work for your space and outside temp.

Your ideas about the intake and exhaust are not quit right. There is a fan that pulls air from outside over the outside of the exhaust pipe (to preheat it). This fan actually pushed the combustion gasses all the way out the exhaust. The exhaust exiting should be a little hot. In very cold temps, frost can build up around the air intake, which is right around the exhaust pipe. If you see this you will need to keep it clean. It is a good idea to look at the exhaust everyday when it really cold.

Good luck,
