I have an Accurian DVD player and everytime we play a movie the screen goes black off and on. You can hear the sound but can see no picture. Is it toast?

Check it with other dvd disks,might have damage disk like smushes,scratches,cracks in the dvd disk?Might also could be the tv,nothing to do with the DVD player.

Good day!!! That problem has something to do with the cords/wire (Jack) that connecting the tv and your dvd....My advise is to wiggle the wires if you notice any reaction on the tv contact me....fo more or you can avail my service below for much step by step procedure...thank you...

That is called a limit switch. Disassemble the player and check this switch. It might be stucked. Perform continuity test using an ohmmeter. If resistance does not change when switched and released, replace it. Check also for loose ribbon connection. Realign connections and resolder connector terminals.
Walmart has been accepting returns on these players because the manufacturer of this product line went out of business last year. Walmart was aware of it at the time of business with them. The best thing to do is take it back to the nearest Walmart and get a store credit and/or file a complaint on ripoffreport.com
