I have a magic chef oven that will not turn on. The burners on the stove will light, but the oven wont turn on. There is no gas coming from the oven and there is no little light in the back. Is this something I can fix myself?
Yes oven ignightor to confim this try broil if it lights then its bottom oven ignightor get back wit me ill outline procedure
are you sure about the gas smell should not of had that without the broiler lighting sorry about the questions but we want to get it right
ok take out the bottom drawer get a screwdriver look to the back of the range where you took the drawer out look for a little gold box wit wires on it turn the range on bake count to 40 then tap that box several times with your screw driver seeif the range lights

The ignitor is not working right and is going bad....
have the repair man replace the ignitor, or DIY....

It did not light up for broil, however the gas did come on where it does not when i try to turn on the oven.
No there was no gas smell. However there was a poping sound of something trying to turn on, but the broiler never came on.
