I have a Philips 32PW9527/05 and it will not turn on. The screen will display a fuzzy white line from the top centre to the middle and very quickly this is replaced by a small fuzzy rainbow coloured box in the centre of the screen. The TV then shuts down leaving the on/off LED indicator light flashing red.

The TV, most probably, the display circuit or the display itself has developed dry solder/components leaking and the TV needs attention by a qualified service technician.
the problem is in the Vertical circuit of the set, fold over and/or retrace lines at the top.
Problem will be either a bad vertical output IC or caps around it that are bad.
Unless you know how to solder and what to look for it will be a shop repair, if it is continued to be used this way sooner or later it will go to just a white line left to right in the middle of the screen.
I looked up how to fix red horizontal lines on a Philips flat-screen tv. It turns out it needed the Y buffer upper replaced. I am not sure if this problem would be similar but it might help. I am also searching how to fix a fuzzy screen on a DLP tv. Hope you find what you need.
No you cannot solve this yourself unless you have a soldering iron with solder plus be able to identify dry joints or defective capacitors. Please take to a TV service centre.
