TRYING TO INSTALL FROM BOUGHT DISC ROXIO CREATOR 9 WILL NOT

Roxio 9, Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio Creator 10 are different animals. Roxio 9 is 3 years old +. It likely will not handle 64bit or Windows 7.
Roxio Creater 9 is not listed as compatible with Windows 7

1. you have error in windows.
2.download and install nero 9.
3.real player also born dvd and cd bu i recommend nero 9.

as it is an HP DV6000, with known motherboard issues, I would suggest try running a few other programs also and see if they hang as well.

The problem with creator 2009 has been fixed by the roxio people.
Instead of burning directly to the DVD disk as roxio software states,
one needs to first save this to be AVCHD movie as a file and then burn directly from the file. This works OK, but as stated this is different
from what the software claims. I'm happy. Thanks

Windows7 is still being developed and as far as I know it has some compatibility issue with many hardware etc..Check compatibility with manufacture before you look any further.

You should clean uninstall the roxio from the computer and then install it later. uninstall it or if you cant start your computer reload windows from disc. media creator may be too "big" for your system. pentium 4 min.required,i should think no easy way out if its crashing your computer

Check whether requirements for installing Roxio and check whether you pc has enough space.

There is a patch from Roxio to resolve this error!
