Sansa c200 series – Computer/OS Not Recognizing
Connect the device to the PC in MSC Mode
View/c200: Turn on then press and hold the rewind button while plugging to the PC
If that fails, unplug the Sansa from the computer. Uninstall all the Sansa software in the add/remove programs section of Control Panel. Reinstall the clean version of the software from Sandisk’s website – make sure you get the files for the c200 series. Then replug the Sansa and try again. The root of the problem is that Sansa has one set of drivers and Windows has another. If you plug the mp3 player into the computer before installing the Sansa drivers, the Windows drivers will trump the Sansa’s.
Here is a helpful link from Sandisk on the problem with extra information on Vista operating systems:

Sansa e200 No USB Menu Option?

e200 or c200? I know that problem was fixed on the e200 with the latest firmware update. Download the sansa updater utility at the sandisk website and see if you can upgrade your firmware.

How do I?

I'm not an expert on these, but I'll give ya a shot. It seems that if you are trying to pull the songs directly from the CD to your MP3 player then the problem is you have to rip the songs to an MP3 format. The audio CD will not convert automatically to play on an MP3 player. First find a way to rip the songs and place them on your computer harddrive in MP3 format and then you should have no problem placing them on your player. Let me know if you need more assistance

Sandisk sansa c200(2gb)

Do you use windows media player 10 or 11 to sync music into the mp3 player? and have you updated firmware? Go to sansa.com and download a firmware updater and then try formatting the mp3 player, use WM and click on the arrow below sync and go to format.
