Pelican Cooling stand for Xbox 360?

I was wondering about the Pelican cooling stand for the Xbox 360. I have heard many problems with different stands and fans. I know the Nyko is a piece of junk and ruins your xbox, but does the pelican? What problems does the pelican have and will it hurt my xbox or warranty

Hi dirtrider,
The ive used many fans such as the interloper, and they all were faulty, didnt work very well, and some were extremly loud.
The pelican, although, is what I us now, and I have yet to find anything wrong with it, the looks are kinda weird but its worth it, also rememberto turn the fan on/off at the right times, because its powered by usb, and theres power feeding through it constantly while its turned on.
Good luck, and happ gaming.

My xbox fans spin really fast and the xbopx works fine but the ans go normal the go really fast and stop again please tell me how to fix it thats my only problem

the fans in the 360 respond to how hot the console is getting and thus how much cooling is required. Try standing your console up, it helps to disappate the heat much better.

How to set up your xbox 360 without causing overheat

take everything out your new xbox 360 packaging. there should be:
1)a console (obvioiusly)
2) a cable that connects your 360 to a power block
3) a power block that connects your xbox to the wall
4) a cable that connects your xbox to the tv
5) a small rectangular box that connects your cable into the scart port on your tv.

lets begin
take the cable and connect it to the power block and move the power block to the side
take the scart plug (small rectangular box) and connect the yellow white and red wires into the approprite slots (these are marked out on your scart plug) and move to the side
pace your console down 90 deg. on its side in your desired position.
WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WA
do NOT place your xbox 360 standing up as this can cause red ring of death syndrome and other known xbox killers due to overheating i am on my second 360 as i never followed my own advise.if you keep your console standing straight it can cause vibrations which knock your cooling sinc out of place. it can also scratch your games more easily and ring them making them UNPLAYABLE. now place all cables you set aside and connect them into appropriate slots on the back of the console. and connect them into wall socket and tv.
thanks for reading.now wheres the free cake i was promised.

How do i link the pelican remote to the xbox 360?

There should be several USB ports on your 360. There should be one in the back and two in the front lower part of the console. It is hidden beneath a small flap you can push in with your fingers and slide the cable into the usb

It won't read disk say's open tray.tried clearing catch

I had this same problem a year after I purchased my first Xbox 3602_bing.gif. Most of the time this problem is due to dust and dirt getting sucked into the system by the terrible cooling system that the older Xbox 360s have. If your Xbox 360 is over 2 years old then most likely this is your problem. these Xboxes are made to stand up not lay down so if yours is laying down try tilting it upright and play it that way. This fixes the problem 80% of the time. You can also try to blow into some of the openings on your Xbox to get the dirt and dust out but I must admit this rarely works. If after trying both of these things you still have the problem, then it must be fixed by opening up the Xbox and determining the problem with the laser or disk drive. This costs time and money so you better hope that my first two solutions work!

My 360 just froze up [ unit is still locked in

unplug the power box from the wall for a few seconds and then try to tun it back on if the problem continues then it could be either a cooling problem or a game problem. check the game to make sure its clean. and be sure your 360 is laying FLAT not standing up the main air flow for the consel is located on the right side of the consel (the opposite side of the hardrive) keep atleast 4 inches on that side

Pelican 4300

Send it back to Pelican. They have a lifetime warranty and are one of the few companies that actually stand behind their products.

Xbox 360 wont work

It may be possible that your game console is just overheating, it may help if you bought a cooling fan, which can be purchased from most video gaming stores like Gamestop, or you could go to this website where there are several good quality cooling fans for your Xbox. http://www.overstock.com/Books-Movies-Music-Games/Power-Cooling-System-Stand-and-Fan-for-Xbox-360/3312097/product.html Hope this help. Good Luck! :)

Xbox360 pic goes off

Is your Xbox standing up or laying down....Mine did the same thing when it was standing up and I went to the game store he said it looks cool to stand it up, but it runs better and longer laying down!....If that is not it you could need a new video card which is like $45 or so....Think of the xbox 360 as the closest thing to a computer of all the systems!

Disc scratch

I have heard that when the xbox 360 when on its side instead of standing up can scratch discs although ive never had that problem. If your 360 is on its side you should stand it up and see if you have the same problem.
