I finally figured out how to set the time on this watch! Like others the included manual didn't have instructions for this model.

Hold down all four buttons on the watch, this will do a factory reset.

Hold down the top left button, which brings you into the configuration mode.

Pressing the bottom left button will cycle you through all the settings for the time. For each setting, the top right button increments and the bottom right decrements.

When you are done, press the top left again.

To set the time or be able to turn off the chime do the following:
Press the "Set/EL" and "Mode" buttons down at the same time and hold until the "light = off/on" is hown on the display. Use the "Mode" button to cycle through the options.

I have no idea why it does not say this anywhere in the book. Looks were way more important on the design on this watch than the function.

Hey guys, #4 solution is the right one. Press all 4 buttons at once and then continue with holding down the set/El button for 2 sec. Then use left lower (mode) button to move through the set up menu. Right buttons wil change values up or down. After setting all parameters, press set/El again to get back.Good luck!

To set the time for the Diesel watch DZ7069 you need to go to the following web site.www.fossilscandinavia.se-bruksanvisningar-Diesel%20Digitaler%202007.doc.url

You have to press the "set/El" button down for some seconds, and the "light = off/on" will be shown on the display. Press the "Mode" button while the "light off/on" are shown, and the text CHIME will be shown, just keep pressing the "mode" button to set the different parameters on the watch.

hope it could help?

How do you set the correct date

Hi! Welcome to FixYa,

Hold down the top left hand button which is for the light and then a menu should come up saying chime and then if you want it on or off press the bottom left and so on. Keep pressing the top left hand button until it comes to time and then it will ask how many hours off the time. Choose the correct time and then press the bottom left again for the date and select the correct month and day and year and then you are all set up.

Hope this helps.

HI, I have a dz7069 can you please help me how to set the minutes in time two, we can set the hour for time two but not the minutes Thanks,

The best advice I can offer you is this.
Setting the Watch
  • Pull on the watch's knob, located on the right side of the face. It will pop out to a wider setting, one notch outward. This notch is the hour and minute setting for your watch. Turn the knob to move the hour hand, and set the proper time. Press in on the knob, against the spring, until you feel it hit the base. Wait to verify that your second hand begins moving, indicating that your watch is keeping the correct time.

On digital watches, press and hold the top button until the time begins flashing. Use the bottom button to move the hour and minute. Press the top button again to replace the new time and set your watch.
  • Repairs and Service
  • Keep your receipt and warranty paperwork in a safe location. This documentation will be important for repairs, resale and service. Visit your closest Diesel store for repairs requiring mechanical adjustments--or a trusted jeweler can handle the maintenance such as wristband alterations. Note that your Diesel watch may use links, held in place by small pins. These pins are best removed and adjusted by a jeweler or watch technician, so as not to damage the quality and value of your watch.

Diesel DZ7069 watch - how do I set the correct date/time?

    ok ,here it is .
Instructions To Set The Time On The Diesel DZ7071 Watch

Ok the first and most important thing to know about this watch is that it has an unusual timezone function (unusual to me at least). This allows the watch to display two different times. Time 1 (or T1) is the primary time (the time of the place where you spend most of your time!). The time can only be adjusted whilst the watch is in the T1 mode (T1 should be displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen). Holding down the top right button for one or two seconds will temporarily replace the current T1 time with the T2 time. Holding down this same button for several seconds will toggle the current time mode to T2 and the watch will continue to function in the second time zone until you toggle it back to T1.

The second most important thing to know is that you can only set the time whilst in the T1 mode. When in T1 mode hold down the top left button until the watch enters the settings menu (it should say "Light" at the top of the screen) now use the bottom left button to toggle through the settings menu until you get to the time settings. I think this part of the process if sufficiently straight forward so I'm not going to go into more details here, all I'll add is that once you have the watch set to the desired time mode 12h/24h time and date you just need to press the top left button to save the settings and return to the main time screen.

To set a secondary timezone time you have to first toggle the watch to the secondary time zone mode (hold the top right button for several seconds and the T1 indicator should change to T2 (and the watch will now be displaying the time that is currently set for the secondary timezone). This time is based on the primary time by simply telling the watch a number of whole hours ahead or behind the primary time. To adjust this hold down the top left button for several seconds, the watch will then say "offset" now use the buttons on the right to add or subtract hours from the primary time. Once set press the top left button again to return to the main time screen. Finally hold down the top right button for several seconds once more to return the watch to the T1 mode.
