Is this a new install? if so you may need to adjust the air intake. Or if you have kids they may have messed with the settings. If the air is closed all the way off....no bubbles.

When I push the button on my american standard jacuzzi tub I hear the hum of the motor but jets don't come on

In my case I took the motor out and used a screw driver to turn the impeller in the front of the pump and the fins inthe back. Put it back together and it worked. I then used 2 tablesoons of dishwashing detergent and 1/2 cup bleach and ran it for 20 minutes to clean and degrease the impellers

My american standard jacuzzi tub doesnt work. It's plugged in, but the push button doesn't engage anything. It worked before I removed it to install ceramic tile around and under it.

check the air tubing coming off the back of the motor. that tubing should connect from the air switch on the motor to the bottom of the air button on the top of your tub.
if it is not connected then it will never turn on.

My jacuzzi tub motor will hum but does not run. I

I had this same problem. I looked at the motor, and on one end (the end opposite where the water comes out) there is a hole in the middle. In that hole is a regular screw tip, which can be used to turn the motor. I filled the tub, inserted a slotted regular screwdriver and turned it about 8 times clockwise, then 8 times counterclockwise. You should see the whole motor turn. Doing this loosened it up, and then it started.

Once it started, all kinds or residue came out, which was probably why it had stopped working. I hadn't used it for a while.

After getting it running I'm going to run some cleaning solution through it, and make sure I run it more often to prevent this in the future.

Jetted bath tub has stopped working. Motor hums

look on the back of the motor there should be a shaft that you can try to turn to spin free because something inside the pump is blocking it. rate me if this is helpful.

Jetted bath tub has stopped working - motor hums, will not run

The shaft on the motor should spin freely as should the impeller when attached to the pump. If there is drag on either, replace the pump and motor assembly. I have worked on jetted tubs for the past 5 years, I have seen seized pumps more than once.

American standard air tub motor hums

sounds like the motor might be on a dead spot. try turning the shaft of the motor 1/2 turn or so and see if it will kick in. If not you may have a bad motor of some debris in the motor preventing it from starting.
