Many thanges can do that, bad capacitor, shorting in the motor itself. what I would do is take off the out put line to your tank and run the motor. if nothing happens than, its more likely your tank valve is bad and needs to be replace. If your unit shut es down than its more likely your motor. take it to a service center and have it check out. good luck. PS your tank valve is screwed in to the tank at the end of the input line.

I have a Milwaukee 6390 circular saw. It keeps blowing a breaker even without an extension cord?

If your Milwaukee 6390 circular saw is tripping the circuit breaker even without an extension cord, it could be due to a few reasons:
  1. Overloaded circuit: The circuit may be overloaded with too many other electrical devices or appliances. Try unplugging other devices or turning off lights on the same circuit to see if that resolves the issue.
  2. Short circuit: A short circuit can occur when the insulation on the electrical wires inside the saw becomes damaged or frayed, causing them to come into contact with each other. This can cause a sudden increase in current flow, which can trip the circuit breaker. Check the saw's power cord for any visible damage or wear, and consider having it professionally inspected if you suspect a short circuit.
  3. Faulty circuit breaker: It's possible that the circuit breaker itself is faulty or worn out. Try plugging the saw into a different circuit and see if it still trips the breaker. If it does, the issue may be with the saw itself.
  4. Motor overload: If the saw's motor is under strain or is overloaded, it can trip the circuit breaker. Check the blade for any binding or resistance, and ensure that the blade is sharp and properly aligned.
If none of these solutions resolve the issue, you may want to consider taking the saw to a professional repair shop to have it inspected and repaired.

AOSmith 1hp lift motor starts then trips breaker , any ideas?, thants

There are a few possible reasons why your AOSmith 1hp lift motor starts and then trips the breaker:
  1. Overload: The motor may be overloaded and drawing too much current. Check the load on the motor and make sure it is within the motor's capacity.
  2. Short Circuit: A short circuit could be causing the motor to draw too much current and trip the breaker. Check the wiring for any signs of damage or wear.
  3. Faulty Motor: The motor itself could be faulty and causing the overload or short circuit. Check the motor windings for any signs of damage or wear.
  4. Tripped Thermal Overload: The motor may have a thermal overload switch that shuts off the motor if it gets too hot. Check the motor for any signs of overheating and reset the thermal overload switch if necessary.
  5. Faulty Breaker: The breaker itself could be faulty and tripping prematurely. Check the breaker for any signs of wear or damage.
It is recommended to consult a licensed electrician or motor technician to diagnose and fix the issue, as working with electricity can be dangerous if not done properly.

There could be a timed circuit breaker:

Circuit Breakers The headlights are protected by a circuit breaker in the headlamp switch. If the circuit breaker trips, the headlights will either flash on and off, or stay off altogether. The circuit breaker rests automatically after the overload is removed. The windshield wipers are also protected by a circuit breaker. If the motor overheats, the circuit breaker will trip, remaining off until the motor cools or the overload is removed. One common cause of overheating is operation of the wipers in heavy snow. The circuit breakers for the power door locks and power windows are located in the fuse box.

The circuit breaker on the unit pops almost every time I use the unit, what might be causing this?

Hi, when the breaker trips every time you turn it on, the unit has a dead short. It may have a frayed wire where it goes into the units motor, or the motor it self may be shorted out.A bare hot wire that touches metal will pop the breaker right away. I would look the cord over very well to see if anything may be bare. If not, the problem is further into the motor section of the unit, and more then likely the motor has failed. This is why the breaker is there for this reason. In case it overloads or you have a short, it trips to keep the unit from burning. Please keep me posted.

Hello there, If this unit is tripping the breaker lets say on the pump out drain cycle, then you for sure have a problem in the motor and pump assembly.Anytime a breaker trips, if the breaker isn't worn out, it indicates that it is drawing more amps than it is rated for due to an overload problem and so on.You're motor and pump needs to be checked out on site with the proper electrical tools and so on. Wish I were there to help.

Why does electric mower shut off my breaker when switch is turned on?

you are probably overloading a busy circuit and the mower is pulling enough to trip breaker....try another source that is hopefully more than 15 amp rated and not running the rest of the house. otherwise mower motor could be failing and shorting or drawing too much amps(electrical current) overloading and tripping breakers

Electric Air compressor just hums then trips breaker.

usally there is a releaf valve that takes the pressure off the compressor while it is resting. If that pressure is not off when the drive piston starts the motor will overload and blow the the breaker or reset. Check for a releaf valve for when the unit has reached full pressure
