I have the same problem. I am able to get it working by shutting breaker off overnight. It seems to reset itself and will work for a short period (a few days), then go back to flashing child lock. Experts tell me to replace the entire control panel (cost $200 for non-stainless/$328 for stainless).
We have also stopped closing the door tight, which in effect cuts power to the panel. That gives us some reprieve. Am hoping another person can offer a better solution, such as a new circuit card.

Clean light blinks on whirlpool dishwasher won't run

If you aren't sure whether Control Lock is on, press a cycle button on the keypad. If Control Lock is on, the light will blink three times.
Turning off Control Lock:
  1. Press and hold the Lock Button for four seconds. The lock light will disappear.
  2. Once off, you should be able to start your wash cycle.
Note: If Sleep Mode is on, turn that off first, then turn off Control Lock.

Like many other electronics, you may need to reset the dishwasher control panel by turning it off, waiting, then turning it back on.
  1. Press the OFF button.
  2. Disconnect the dishwasher from its power source by unplugging it or by turning the circuit breaker off at the electric panel.
  3. Once disconnected, wait one minute, and turn the power back on.

The CHILD LOCK light came on and I cant get it off. Pressing CANCEL does nothing. How do I fix it?

Usually you need to press and hold a button or a pair of buttons to toggle the Child Lock function. Without the model number of your dishwasher, I can't be sure if this will work on your machine. It did work on the old Kitchenaid I had. Press and hold the Energy Saver/Dry button for 4+ seconds. If the light goes out, you have released the front panel lock.

On some models, you needed to press and hold the Air Dry button. However, you may need to look for writing in a small font that will indicate the correct button/key combination to release the front panel lock.

If pressing the appropriate button for an extended time doesn't work, then your keypad may need to be replaced. The signal isn't being received by the control of the dishwasher. (Alternatively, the wiring between the keypad and control unit or control unit, itself, may have an issue.)

I hope this helps.

How do I stop Lights flashing

You may have the child-lock or control-lock function activated. Or if you have the short-cycle activated, you will not be able to activate the high-temp or sani-wash functions, because the dishwasher will not have time to heat the water to the required temperature.

Child Lock on or Flashing Energy Saver Dry

I suspect that the cycle "button" on the control panel is intermittent.  Try using a different cycle - If you always use "short wash", try the "normal" cycle.
This worked for me.  It will be too expensive to repair, so I am dishwasher shopping.

Dishwaher

Control Lock means that the entire dishwasher is locked, for child safety purposes.  It's normally cleared by holding the "No Heat Dry" button in for 4 seconds or more.  It is locked again by the same procedure -- holding the "No HEat Dry" button for 4 seconds (or more).
