If the spigot means the end of the water tube in the water dispenser, and it steadily drips even if the dispenser is not used for 10 minutes or so - replace the water valve. If the dispenser drips water mostly wright after you used it - you might have some air bubbles in the refrigerator water tubing.

Car hesitates and backfires when warmed up from a dead stop

Do a injector leak down test to rule out leaky injectors.

Leaky injector will drip excess fuel into the intake on dead stop.

Back fire will damage intake manifold gasket and waste fuel.

Have you tried to change the remove the water filter? (It needs to be changed every 6-months.)
I find that when I change the water filter on my fridge, it takes a few times using the water dispenser on the door before it totally stops running. But it does stop. In the interim, place a couple folded paper towels under the spigot to catch overflow. When you see that the towels are dry, you are in business.

Put a post-it note in your fridge with the date of the last time you changed your water filter, the model and serial number of our fridge. When its time to replace, either bring the post-it to the applicance store's parts counter and/or input the data into your online order. Change out every six months.

Secondly, if the above does not apply/work, then go to the yellow pages in your area and look up Appliances...small applicance repairs and parts. Contact the vendor and pose your question about parts, repairs degree of difficulty to repair ( like your spouse).

My fridge is leaking because the drip pan is overflowing

I had this problem and it turns out that the filter cartridge had a leak and a constant drip into the drip pan. The drip pan is designed to capture the runoff from the self defrost but not a constant drip. The first thing you should do is remove your water filter cartridge - this will stop the drip until you can get a new cartridge. If that doesn't work just turn the water supply to the fridge off. You won't have ice but you won't have a leaky fridge either.

Our KitchenAid just started leaking. it is coming from the front ice dispenser on door. seems many people are having this problem. there is also "snow" on ice maker and bucket. and the temperature...

Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

The excess frost on the ice maker and bucket can be caused by the ice chute door not closing all the way or a leaky door gasket letting air in.

Having a water dripping from top of fridge!! p

Having a water dripping from top of fridge!!

The problem could be a number of things but you have to know the top of the fridge is the bottom of the freezer (usually) and this surface must be colder than the air that's being circulated in the refg compartment. Obviously Side by Side or bottom freezer would be differant.

4 items to check :

1your air damper switch is set to give you a colder freezer and not allowing enough cooling and dehumidification in the fridge compartment (explanation below of the reason you have to have air flow unobstructed)

2 the defrost on the freezer is not taking place (Explained below)

3 the door seals are not sealing. Use a piece of paper like a $1.00 and slide between the door gasket and the frame if you can pull and push it and it not fold up the seal is open and not working.

4 some fridges have a energy saver switch which is a heater. This switch turns the heater off. It is not needed in everyone's home or locality so the switch may be set to "save energy" and thus not keeping the "dew" off the fridge (usually these heaters are only on the doors and possible on the outer sides of the fridge and not the ceiling, so I doubt this is it, but I do like to eliminate this).

One of the more common things is the defrost not taking place and this can be a verity of thing Ive seen drain lines stop up and refreeze eventually to the point where the upper part of the fridge is too cold not to drip when the humidity come up like in the spring time. A faulty defrost timer / initiator or a bad element or safety switch, bad wire can also cause non defrost.
Defrost is required because the freezer is where the coldest part of the refrigeration circuit is and it requires air from the fridge to move over the coil. When this movement stops a cold ceiling can result. It will eventually follow with warmer fridge temps as humidity and time progresses.

Hope this helps with the mystery of most common problems associated with:
having a water dripping from top of fridge!!
Please grade ma accordingly and GOOD luck!.

Kenmore upright fridge--freezer door drips when cleaning

Condensation has formed and frozen behing the door panel. You can live with it, or take apart the panel and dry it out - you may have to replace some insulation. Hope this helps!

Fridge

Clean the door seal and ensure that there are no gaps between the sealing surfaces of the door seal and the refrigerator, if there is, relatively warm moist air will continually feed condensible moisture to the cold gap in the seal and the condensed water will drip on the floor. If the door seal its self is broken or torn it will have to be replaced to stop the drip.
Hope this helps.
