Appliance Art has stainless panel replacements for around $60. These are for the dishwasher that have frames where the old panel slides out and the new one slides in. For wrap-around doors, they have faux stainless rolls that were just on the DIY network, HGTV and the Today show. those are around $50. www.applianceart.com
Yes you can replace the door. You can call your dealer with the model number and see about getting a new panel. I don't know where you are located but I have an extra stainless panel from when we did our kitchen that I would be willing to sell.
Turn off the power to the dishwasher. Remove the access cover on the bottom front of the dishwasher. Lying on the floor,you can see the door hinges and replace the spring.

1. Disconnect power to dishwasher. Remove screws holding the control panel from the side of the inner door. Remove control panel. If it does not come off - remove all screws on the inner side of the door and separate the inner and outer door. 2. Fuse is on the right side on top of the control board. it usually has tan or black or yellow wires to it. Disconnect wires and check fuse for continuity. if none - replace fuse with wiring harness supplied with it.

We put it on our refrigerator and it looks and even feels like real stainless steel. Its really cool. I think its called stainless foil or something like that. Also if you're looking for a stainless panel for your dishwasher they sell actual stianless panels there too.
