I have a Whirlpool dryer model LGN2000PWO. It

I have a Whirlpool dryer model LGN2000PWO. It runs too hot even on ''low''. Had a repair man replace cycling therm and hi limit therm and I am still having the same problem. I have tried the timed dry and the Accu Dry both run too hot when it is on ''Low'' and ''Medium''. It's so hot I can hardly touch the inside of the dryer door.

The dryer is against a first floor outside wall that has less than 2 ft. of venting. The vent has been cleaned out, the lint screen has been cleaned, the outside vent cap is opening, no collapsed vents, no sharp bends. I even took the vent off the back off the dryer and vacummed that out. Any other suggestions?

You have an air flow problem. plugged lint screen, dryer vent partially or totally plugged with lint. dryer sheet stuck to the back wall iside the dryer. outside vent cap plugged or not opening. collapsed dryer vent or vent with too sharp of bends in it. and worse case scenario the dryer blower wheel too full of lint. this is provided the thermostats that the tech put in were of the correct heat range and limit.

Whirlpool electric dryer wed5300sq0 runs for like 5 minutes then shuts off....other than that everything works....

Reach inside the dryer and turn the drum. Does it turn easily? If not then it might be rollers or idler or drum glide worn out. Even if the motor needed replacing I would do it on this mdel. Nothing newer is worth a dayum in today's market. You can also try and lube the motor if it is getting hot and quitting. I have some links here:

My dryer doesn't heat up

I had the same problem. I called the repair man and my heating elements were broken, I had them replaced and now my dryer works fine. For me getting it repaired was cheaper then buying a new one. Your repair man should give you a free estimate on the cost

Whirlpool Duet Dryer is scorching clothes

there is a sensor in the exhaust line in the dryer, near the motor. this tells the heating element to shut off when it gets to a certain temp, either during reg cycle or if the exhaust gets clogged, it is meant as a safety measure, but it sounds like yours is bad so the heating element never shuts off. it is not an expensive part and easy to replace

NO HEAT

it could be a bad: heating element or internal temperature switch. but i would turn you circuit breaker in your house off then back on first. sometimes the dual breaker will trip only one side leaving you with a partially functioning machine.

dryer runs but doesn’t heat, don’t even think it’s the thermal fuse. If the thermal fuse was the problem, the dryer wouldn’t run at all.
First thing to do is verify your source voltage for the dryer; for those of you in Manhattan, this means to use your multi-meter to measure the voltage at the dryer outlet to make sure you have 240v. Y’see, Slick, the dryer motor only needs 120v supplied by one of the lines to run. But the heating elements, on the other hand, need 240v supplied by both lines to get hot.
If the source voltage is ok, then the most likely bad parts are listed below. As always, you should use your meter and the tech sheet supplied with your dryer (and cleverly hidden inside the control panel) to verify:
1. Even Heat Board
2. Heater Relay
3. Thermostat
4. Sensor

Whirlpool Duet Dryer getting very hot, tripping breaker

what size is your breaker how many amps it should say on breaker are you cleaning the lint screen with it on top if the drier is getting too hot there is a device in it that's called a thermal limiter that would blow before the breaker would trip what kind or you in a house or apt. now on high heat can you hold your hand on the side of the drier.or cant touch it look at the vent under your house and tell me 1is it hanging down under the house then coming up to the hood 2whats its diameter3whats it made of we will go from there ok.there are three thermostats in that drier the first one runs at about 150 160 max second is a safety in case the first one fails it cycles at about 250 third is a safety if the drier exceeds 300 it will shut the heater down and wont rest it has to be replaced
