I transfered some spoken audio books to the player. The chapters are in order before I put them in, but they do not play in order. Player is NOT set on shuffle
Mine seems to be playing in order. But STARTS AT BEGINNING of the book everytime I turn it off. Then I have to ff through until I get to the spot I left off. How can you return quickly to where you left off?Mine seems to be playing in order. But STARTS AT BEGINNING of the book everytime I turn it off. I save the chapters to a separate file in windows then rename them, so that the difference in the title is at the front of the name rather than the end. For example- if the titles looked like;
Book Title Chapter number CD1 01
Book Title Chapter number CD1 02
I remamed them to;
101 Book Title Chapter number CD1 01
102 Book Title Chapter number CD1 02
Etc.
I then transfered them to the Mp3 player as files, in the music section, then created a new folder for each cd and moved them into that. So far, so good, playing in order, and starts where I left off. I may have found a fix-

It didn't save my audio book into chapters or files. It is just one big file I guess.It didn't save my audio book into chapters or files. It is just one big file I guess.

Most audio books are Protected WMA files which this unit does not accept, you would have to convert your audio books to MP3 format for them to play properly on your MP300. Honestly, this unit isnt good for audio books as audio books break up into chapters, this unit has no sort order so your chapters would be out of order.
hi katie. before you load your audio books onto you device try renaming each chapter to get them in order. your device should order them like your hard drive will
You have to delete the affected Audiobooks off the player, then go into Windows Media Player, right-click one chapter at a time, select "Advanced Tag Editor" and manually assign a track number to each chapter -in order.
Then you can reload the audiobook onto the GoGear.
Spoken Word Browse the Audible audio book file in alphabetical order. Press the Play/Pause/Up Button or Repeat/AB/Down Button to browse through the audible audio files. Press the Select Button to browse the songs for the selected file.
This player will only recognize Audible audiobook files
There is not a fix for the pause/resume issue - it is a major problem for just about every mp3 player that claims audiobook compatibility

You will have to edit the track number in Windows Media Player by right clicking the chapter, and going to Advanced Tag Editor. Then, erase the file off the Sansa player. Then reload the mp3 with the correct order/edited tags back onto the player. Sorry - as far as I know you cannot make these edits while the songs are still loaded onto the player.
