Ok, i see your problem. Take a business card and wipe the corners of your screen gently. This should work as unresponsive screes occur when dust is trapped on the screen.Remember, practice this every 3 months.Good Luck :)

There is the part called the sensor board connector. It is connected from the screen to the main board of the phone. If it is loosely connected, the touch screen will not respond. Have it securel connected and the phone will respond to touch.

You can try order a replacement touchscreen on ebay and replace it yourself
Tip: order a couple of them, they are cheap but extremely fragile

My garmin nuvi 660 touch screen dosen't work

To calibrate the touchscreen on a nuvi 300 or 600 series:
  1. Power the unit On.
  2. From the Where to? / View map screen, touch Settings (wrench icon).
  3. Touch Display.
  4. Touch Recalibrate.
  5. A new screen will display that says Press Dot.
  6. Touch the center of the dot.
  7. Keep touching the center of the dot as it moves around the screen.
  8. When Calibration Complete appears on the screen, please touch OK.
The touchscreen will now be recalibrated.

If your touchscreen is not responding to any touch and preventing you from recalibrating the touchscreen using the instructions above, please follow the steps below:
  1. Connect your nuvi to your computer with a compatible USB cable.
  2. Open the Garmin Nuvi drive located in MyComputer/Computer. (Note: Mac users can locate the Garmin Nuvi drive icon on the Desktop.)
  3. Open the Garmin folder.
  4. Locate and delete the GUPDATE.GCD file.1
  5. Safely disconnect your nuvi from your computer.
  6. Power the nuvi Off.
  7. Power the nuvi on by holding the power button.
  8. Continue holding the power button down for 1-2 minutes until the screen calibration option displays.
  9. Touch the center of the dot as it moves around the screen.
  10. When Calibration Complete appears on the screen, please touch OK.

The touchscreen will now be recalibrated and should respond properly.

Screen works but dosent respond to any touching?

Check that the "touch screen lock" is not engaged. To avoid accidental activation of the touchscreen, many models use some kind of "security" so that after a fixed time, the touchscreen will stop responding unless you (e.g.) click an unlock button. Verify this on the user manual.

Touchscreen not responding

Hello Cutie,

I would try a master reset it will be your best option, just make sure that you try backing up any informaton to a pc or laptop, or install the motorola phone tools program in a computer and Sync your phone to the pc and then transfer all your numbers, pics and videos or documents u may have stored in there then perform the master reset. Of course if u are having touch screen failure then all this might be a problem. If none of this works for u then you are in trouble because if im not mistaken Motorola has no service repair department, maybe if u call them they may be able to exchange under manufacturers warranty if its under a year.

Good luck..
