The unlock command is done from the manual mode.
If you scanner is in the scan mode, push the "MANUAL"button to stop the scanning feature.
Next you need to go to the channel you want to unlock. If you are only a few channels away, while in the manual mode, push the up or down arrows to step (one push per channel to be stepped though) to the channel to be unlocked.
A direct method is to enter the channel number on the keypad and then push the "manual" button. The display should show the channel you desire.
If the channel lockout is on, the second line on the display will show "LO+". Push the keypad button marked "L/OUT" once. The "LO+" should change on the display from uppercase to a lowercase "lo+". The channel is now unlocked.

You can lock out IDs you don't want to hear such as telemetry, MDT's, dog catcher, etc.
To Lock out an ID while scanning, quickly press L/OUT while the ID is displayed.
To Lock or Unlock an ID manually:
1. In Manual mode select any channel of the bank you want to lock or unlock an ID in by entering the bank number and channel number (Ex: 001) then press MAN to advance to the channel.
2. Press PGM then TRUNK to put the scanner in program and trunk modes. You will see the bank number (0-9), list number (0-4), and the list status (ON or OFF) on the 1st line, the ID# in the list (0-29) on the 2nd line, the ID on the 3rd line, and bank tag on the 4th line (if programmed).
3. Press TRUNK (each time) to select the ID list (0-4).
4. Select the ID# (0-29) by pressing

(or press and hold; faster) then press L/OUT to lock or unlock the ID. An L will appear to the right of the ID# if the ID is locked out.
5. Press MAN to exit programming.
