Each sensor has 2 wires. One solid white and one white with a black tracer. The solid wire from each sensor goes to terminal 2 and the white wire with the black tracer goes to terminal 3.

Verify you have power at the opener. If the lights flash upon close - you are good. Next, make sure the photoeyes are aligned properly. the master photoeye will always have power. The second will light up when it sees the master unit. If they are aligned, replace them (they do fail). You can also temproarily jumper the wires at the opener to see if the door operates. This will confirm a bad sensor.
Please do not attempt to set the tension your self. Call a garage door service Co. Broken arms and fingers result. It is not worth the attempt. Those tension spring do all the lifting of the door and have to much torque to mess with.
