Time Warner CableJun 5, 2013 - Does anyone know the correct code to use for programming the remotecontrol with the Seiki TV? ... The one they have listed for Time Warner is a 4 digit code(0178) so it doesn't work. ... I did some research and it appears LG or Samsung codesmay work for Seiki sets.

I purchased a 32" Seiki TV but there is no listed remote codes for this brand. Does any one know of a code that will work? Thanks.

You need to be using the TV's remote, not the Time Warner remote.  You are reading the TV's manual to set it's remote, not the Time Warner remote.  If you want the Time Warner remote to operate the TV, you will need to find the instructions that the Time Warner box/receiver provides and enter the TV's code.

According to timewarnercable.com, the codes for a toshiba tv are 074, 168, or 170. If none of these codes work, I suggest you try the code search function. To do this, follow the steps listed below. 1. Turn on the tv 2. Press "select" and "tv" together until the LED blinks twice. 3. Using the keypad on the remote, type in the digits 9-9-1. This will open the "code library." The LED should blink twice. 4. Press "power." 5. Press "channel up" key repeatedly until the tv switches off. 6. When the tv turns off, press "tv" on the remote to lock in the code. Your remote should now be programed to your tv. I hope this helps, and good luck! Sincerely, Der Strom

I had the same problem, so I followed these steps and it worked!

1) Turn on TV.
2) On the remote control, press TV once (it will blink once). Then press and hold SETUP until the TV key blinks twice.
3) Enter 9 9 1, (the TV key will blink twice).
4) Aim the remote control at the TV & press POWER once.
5) Press & release the CH+ key continously (you may need to press it more than 50 times!), then stop when the TV turns off.
6) Press POWER. The TV should turn on, then immediately, press SETUP to lock in the code.

i bot a new tv i don't have the book for the time warner remote so i don't know how to program it to work the tv it only works cable box
where can i find how to program remote that comes with time warner cable

I have the 55 inch. try using 246. That works on mine. if not try 028,164,208,066

another note, are you using the flash on the back of your cable box or do you have a sensor in front of the DVR box?

Got an older model sony xbr 36 tv. Wanna program it to work with mt time warner cable. How do i do it. Yhe TV is about 4 -5 yrears old.
