My nokia N72 was dropped in water i immediately

There is a short in the phone that causes a high rate of battery discharge resulting in a overheating battery.
This cell phone is faulty and I suggest you get a new cell phone.

Wet Cell Phone
Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone, remove the battery and SIM card. To dry out the cell phone put it in a large plastic bag with silica gel drying crystals then put it in a warm sunny place for several days or in front of a warm fan heater for several hours. Reassemble the phone and hope it will work properly again, but if does not work then it is faulty and you need a new cell phone.

Usually when the mobile falls into the water you need to remove everything and immediately take it to a service center so that they will wipe it with some petrol. Now it doesnt work since you dropped it in water only. Check it again with a Nokia service provider.

Hud have removed the battery immediately and use a hair dryer to blow out all the water traces from inside the phone. Some keys may have got water logged and need a change.

There is indeed hope! Make sure you dont put the batter back into it for a few days, take some dry rice and immerse the phone into it, the rice will **** any of the excess moisture out from the phone. DO NOT douse it in rubbing alcohol, and do not "bake" it in an oven or in too hot of sun, this will deform the internal electronics.. Hope this helps! :)

This kind of problem needs an isolation. But most of the case, it's a battery problem. Here's what you need to do:

1. Remove the old battery and try using another one. (whether its fresh or new).

2. Make sure that the battery that you're going to use is fully charged.

3. Turn the phone ON.

If same problem occurs, then you need to bring it to the nearest Nokia Care Center in your area.
