My batteries were about to die so i replaced them and now the camera is still saying that it's batteries are low......so therefore it beeps and turns immediatly off!
I am having the exact problem as you are having have you figured anything out? Thanks!
Mine won't even turn on a green light comes on next to the zoom in and zoom out then it cuts off and the lens stay extended
OKAY PLEASE READ
i got samsung s730 the screen would turn white after i use the cam for more then 30 minutes at a time and the lens would stay extended when it turn off
i hold the picture preview button (looks like arrow point to right in box that square) i hold that, then the lens go back inside and "NO Image!" screen come up, i let it sit at that screen with charged ni-mh batteries, if the screen goes black i do it again, took 5 times, then i power up no problem for 30 minutes again
my guess is the flash cell (the photo cell battery inside) is being charged that way, and is used some what for when you use the camera, thats why i always use PROGRAM MODE with AEB selected.
Hi,
I just called Samsung support about the issue. The solution technical support offered seems to have fixed my problem. Here's what the solution was:
1. Press the button that shows the last picture taken. It is a triangle inside of a box.
2. Now you should see the last picture taken on the back display. Press the Menu button. This is a round button towards the bottom.
3. Use the bigger round button that surrounds the menu button to select Setup2.
4. Under Setup2, navigate down to Battery Type and change from Alkaline to Ni-MH.
5. Exit menu.
6. Now try to the power button.

Hi,
I am having same problem with two S73s I have. I have tried several sets of batteries, but I can't use camera because I get Low Battery message after pressing power button.
i tried this suggestion and the camera does everything right but still says that the batteries are low and turns off
I am experiencing almost the same problem with my daughter's new camera. We have purchased 3 pairs of brand new batteries (alkaline, rechargeable, and lithium) and can NOT get the camera to power up enough to try the fix it solution suggested (turn on, reset, choosing battery type)- all the camera does is beep. Strangely enough, the pair of batteries that were in it when the camera started giving "low battery" message gives just enough juice to display that message, before going blank again and beeping. If you have suggestions, please post before I have to mail for repair.
My camera wont turn on... I have put new batteries in, numerous times & the gren light goes on but then off...NOTHING! I left the batteries in for an hour & when I checked the cmera was hot & betteries extremely hot. What do I do??

Samsung camera S73 - blue. Put new batteries in it and it says low battery.
My daughter has a blue Samsung S73 7.2 mega pixel and 2.5 lcd and she is having the same problem with the camera. She puts in new regular batteries and her camera says low battery and then it turns off. She has tried a pair of rechargeable batteries from one of our cameras and it still does the same thing. She only got this camera in December for Christmas and she is ready to throw it out the window. And I'm not too happy about it either.
i cant charge my camera.everytime i try to charge it or turn it on it just shuts off again!!??
I tried switching the camera setting to the NiMH setting and that helped some, but it is still only staying on a few minutes even with fresh alkaline batteries. Â Won't stay on for more than a few seconds with brand new and freshly charged NiMH batteries. Â
I have had my camera since March and when ever i turn it on it turns right back off i set the setting to NiMH and have rechargeble batteries and it still does not stay on i have even bought the energizer NiMH batteries and still nothing what do i do?
