Synchronisation problems I have recent bought a Samsung Plasma panel (PS-42Q96HD) and i have Samsung terrestial (P850) receiver wich is connected with S-video through the receiver so both the picture and audio comes from the receiver, however the sound gets a little bit ahead of the picture and i cant find anywhere to get it adjusted properly. I have tried with a S-video cable directly from the terrestial receiver but without success.
This wont work, i have tried several differens settings and differenscables without sucess, the DVD suffers with the same problem,This wont work, i have tried several differens settings and differenscables without sucess, the DVD suffers with the same problem,
Samsung 50 inch plasma - running sound via phono outlets to a Denon receiver - picture is a few hundred millisec behind sound. Ok on DVD because receiver has facility to delay a digital input, but not the analog input from the TV output.
TV own speakers are ok so why is the phono output out of sync ?
Taking sound from Sky box phono direct to Denon is also out of sync.
TV also has an optical output which may be a solution, but I am already using all the optical inputs on the Denon for other functions.

The digital part? Do you mean you have sound but no picture/video? Does the power LED on the front of the TV flash? Just about every board in the TV can cause this symptom. You may need a trained TV technician diagnose it further. If you need replacement boards, Tri-State Module is a good vendor for me.
Please check whether the inverter is working and giving voltage to the display board. If not, this might require attention of a qualified service technician.
Sound more like your problem is with the connection to the TV. Make sure the connection at the TV is to an 'input' connector and not 'output'. Also, from the TV menu, if you can select the output the laptop is using make sure the sound is stereo an not 5.1 or 7.1 or something to that effect. All other connections seem to be in good shape. Good luck.
Vladislav was able to fix his TV by replacing some defective capacitors in the power supply.
The locations of the defective capacitors are C523 and C524. The value is 0.22uF 400VDC or can use 600VDC as well.
You can also buy the entire power supply assembly by clicking here.
Good Luck.
Since you smell it above one side of the panel I will guess the right side (from the front). This is where the Y Sustain board is located, it has large heatsinks over the drive ic's to dissapate heat. If the ic's are bad this is more than likely the smell. This board controls the scan of the picture and drives the plasma panel. I would definatly have a technician look at the unit, these are normaly econimical to repair.
I just had the same problem. I returned it to currys and got an exchange because I thought there was somethink wrong with the surround sound itself. I have just tried , and left for ages as it goes out of sync gradually as you said ,the red/white cables (rca , i think it's called)and it works perfectely. You can find the wire for quite cheap just type it in google.
