Your LCD/monitor is cracked from the inside. There are several things that can
cause a screen to crack from the inside. The two most common are
pressure on the screen or dropping the
machine. Sorry, but it is irreparable. You need to buy a replacement.
Your windows is installed on FAT 32 partition, so it is not recognized partitions bigger than 4 Gb. Change to NTFS. ATTENTION ! All informations on your computer will be lost. Do this only after saving your private files !!!
Ur backlight video board is the problem, must change for this problems.Check for crack or damage the on the LCD screen,tv it worthless,if the LCD screen is dead, broken LCD screen glass.
The front glass is just a protector for the LCD screen. If your TV turns on and the picture looks ok (may be a little color variation around the crack if front glass is pushing on it, variation OK black Bad) If the picture looks within the range described then replace the glass. It is just a piece of standard glass and a pretty easy diy job. If the LCD screen is broken the repair will be more than the replacement cost. Sad fact US TV repairmen make a living wage while the workers that assembled you TV wouldn't be able to buy lunch here with what they made putting it together.

wallwart is model # trc-05-1600 made by group west I have one, though I cant let it go... BUT may battery is dead and i have to unscrew? the back to replace it. Got any tips for me?
Probably a bad connection from the drop, or one of the ribbons has gotten loose. The only way to tell, is to open up the player and examine it and look for damage.
This is a hardware problem, and it might be a ribbon cable that has come loose or cracked. Also, the backlight might be the problem. The av400 series was the same lcd as the av300 series and can be found at www.hotmp3technology.com. Haven't found any other place that stocks lcds.
