This phone does not work in the UK anymore as stated on any legit ebay site for the Sci Phone.

Go to Settings/Dual SIM settings and choose Dual SIM open. Perhaps this is the problem.

the sim is either not of the same network that the phone is locked to , ie orange phone orange sim or the phone was lost or stolen and is now blocked and will not accept any sim in uk ,(ever) , the phone will still work in japan and america , also india though

kindly change the frequency of the mobile.

it is a problem of network provider,your cellphone is not open to there sim card network provider..
