Have a lucent partner 18D system How do I change

If your changing the speed dial numbers under the individual buttons thats done by pressing feature 00, the button you want to change the speed dial number on, and enter in the new number.
If your changing the system wide speed dial numbers, From extension 10 enter in feature 00, press feature then the 3 digit code for the speed dial bank (600-699), then enter in the new telephone number. Either press feature and the next 3 digit code for the next number or press feature 00 if finished.

Hello, +86 is the extension to call in China!
You probably have to change your country code's setting for outgoing calls,
Can you check you rsettings here:
- Open Phone Log Screen
- Click menu "Options".
- Click Smart Dial;

And in general all your outgoing call settings related to region
Hope this helps

How to set a speed dial and delate old speed dial no

Just figured this out (though a lot of people seem to have tried giving an answer without seeing if it works.
Setting speed dial numbers doesn't allow you to choose one for the voice mailbox. Go to Messages -> Voice Mailbox Number (option 12). There you can change the number.

Faxing problem

1) Plug a single line wired (not cordless) phone in to the exact same phone jack as the fax machine and dial one of the fax numbers you are trying to dial out to using the exact same digits. Does the call complete Y/N? do you hear a fax tone Y/N?
>>>>If either answer is "No" you have an invalid phone number. If both answers are "Yes" proceed to step 2.

2) When you off hook do you hear a "stutter" dial tone? Y/N?
>>>>>"Yes" This is your phone company telling you that you have unlistened voicemail messages in your mailbox. Dial in to your voice mail and clear your messages. "No" go to step 3.

3) 2 part question: Do you have call waiting and is your fax machine trying to disable call waiting when dialing out?
>>>>>In many areas *70 (star-seven-zero) will disable call waiting for a single phone call. If you try to disable call waiting when call waiting is not on the line, the call will not complete. This may come in to play in a speed dial situation.
+++Other things to consider+++
*Is outgoing long distance blocked on the line?
*Is outgoing regional intralata (same area code) long distance blocked?
*Is local calling blocked?
*Is a speed dial misprogrammed? Forgot to dial "1" Dialed "1" in error?
*Is there a wiring problem? >>>Try moving fax machine to a different phone jack.

There may be no magic answer for your problem, I hope one of these suggestions helps.

Need to program access code into phone line for long distance numbers

Does it work when you press speaker/hook and manual dial same fax number you are trying to program

It sounds like you are adding digit needed for outside line when it is in fact a direct/dedicated fax line, that needs it not (or vise versa).

Are you printing a report of rapid/speed dials that you set to ensure the number you put in is correct?
