Windows 7 is not compatible to your Digitizer 10000.
You may need a software driver to configure it with
the new operating system. You should know that there are lots of things that work with Windows XP and won't work with Win 7. So try surfing the internet
at Microsoft to address your problem.

I bought a used MC 10000 and can not load the digitizer software on my 64bit windows 10 machine, is there a way to get it loaded?

Verify that your model is compatible with Windows 10. Most machines, until just recently, cannot use Windows 10.

Does Janome have software available for a MacBook Pro and Memory Craft 10000 Digitizer?

No:

I just got an email this morning from Wilcom that suggested that they are working on something for a Mac. "Wilcom Elements 3" If another expense for new software isn't an option I would consider getting a secondary computer.... a PC.

If you can run PC at all... go to a pawn shop and buy one specifically for your embroidery machine. A couple years ago I got a 1 year old PC for my husband for $60 at a local pawn shop. I needed to clean out the former owner's personal pictures and tax info... but I was able to access and restore the factory settings and it runs like new.

I have memory craft 950.computer crashed and had to relace- now have windows 7 and can not install my cstomiser 10000 plus (ver1.0

There are software updates for the Customizer 10000. See: http://content.janome.com/index.cfm/LearningCenter/Software_Updates . Drivers and installers have changed over time.

I do not know the limitations of the update software.

I hope this helps.

(The other thing to try is the compatibility mode. This may work directly - right click on the installer and choose Properties. Then choose the compatibility tab and set the Program to always run as compatible with XP. Then right click again and choose Run as Administrator. If this doesn't work, another option is to run a second computer with an older version of Windows. You can use a true second computer, a dual boot computer or a virtual computer (which takes a portion of memory from the main computer but doesn't require a restart). If you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate, you can create a virtual XP computer for free. Download and install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft. The other options require a valid Windows license for the older OS. Install your Customizer in the older OS as you would normally install the software.)

What platform (WIndows XP, etc.) can the 9000 digitizer use?

Digitizer 2000? Or Digitizer 10000?

There's a BIG difference.

So far, it doesn't seem that Janome's put out an update to Digitizer 2000 for Vista (though they have for Customizer 2000), but they have for Digitizer 10000.

However, XP should be fine with Digitizer. You may have to go into your "Properties" menu for Digitizer and set the compatibility back to say, "Windows 95" though.

To do this, right-click on the software icon for Digitizer on your desktop. On the contextual menu will appear several choices - select "Properties" and then click on the "Compatibility" tab on the Properties dialog box. This is where you change how your computer (essentially) recognizes the application.

You may need to experiment with the options. Try "Windows 95" first ... and if that doesn't work, select and try another.

Digitizer 2000 - Dongle ?

I'm going to assume that you mean the Digitizer 2000 software.

Unfortunately, your best bet will be to either wait and see if another copy (complete with dongle) shows up on eBay or upgrade to the Digitizer 10000 version (while Customizer 10000 is NOT compatible with the MC9000, Digitizer 10000 IS), either via your local dealer or snagging it on eBay.

Right now, there's two auctions on eBay for the Dig 10000. It seems to run roughly around $300-400.

Best of luck to you!

Janomi Digitizer 10000

Well, after some research, contact with Janome Technical support and some trial and error, it seems that my problems are caused by a conflict with Windows XP Service Pack 3. At this time, my options are to run without service pack 3 loaded on my computer OR I'm told I can upgrade to Digitizer Pro and get rid of these issues. Neither is a good option in my opinion. Running without service pack 3 loaded for Windows, causes lots of system issues for me, but I hate to spend the $400ish it will cost me to upgrade too! I'm not even sure my computer has enough "horse power" to run the new version anyway. Just thought someone might like to know my experiences.

MC 10000 Digitizer 10000 Error Message

Try downloading the updates for your software from Janome Global, downloads, software. Version 1 needs patches to make it compatible with XP. The most current Version for the 10000 software is 2.21, and the upgraded program is Digitiser pro/MB , a much more stable and far easier version to work with. The upgrade has to be purchased via a dealer or direct from Janome.
