How i can reconfigure my dwl 2100 access point

To reset your router, locate the reset button on the back of the router. While the router is turned on, press and hold the reset button for 10 to 15 seconds and then release. After you release it, the router will reboot and reset. After that, if you want to reconfigure the router go to http://192.168.1.1 and enter your default login info.

To configure the modem properly, you should refer to the user manual. It has all the settings detailed as well as a troubleshooting list:

D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G DWL-2100AP Wireless Access Point provides speed upto 108Mbps, which is the maximum wireless signal rate derived from IEEE Standard 802.11g specifications. However, the actual speed depends upon the wireless network environment, setup and devices.

Here are the steps to reset the access point from D-Link's website:

The following reset procedure will completely restore the default settings on the access point including your password.

Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.

Step 2 With the access point powered on, press and hold the Reset button.

Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.

Step 4 Release the Reset button.

Step 5 The device is now at factory defaults.

This is the power cycle of death. No way to recover at this point. Send in for repair.

Once reset right click on the connection in the task bar ( icon with two computers) click status, click properties, scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click properties, click use the following IP address:, and add the following:

IP: 192.168.0.66
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.50

Click OK, OK, and Close, Now Enter 192.168.0.50 in internet explorer and it will work. You can now change all the settings you wish to.
