It sounds like the laser in your blu-ray drive is dead. You will need to purchase a replacement diode ( or drive ) and replace it yourself, this usually costs around $70. Or, you can pay $150 and Sony will replace it for you.

Unfortunately, from what I have read, it looks like you should call Sony. This is a hardware failure code and has nothing to do with firmware. Hopefully the system is still under warranty.
it could be that you have something turned off in your Home Ps3 settings like under BD settings or any other settings that have to do with the disks or disk speed.
Well that error means something is wrong with the laser. I had the same problem with another ps3 and when i replaced the laser it started working again. You can find the laser for sale on a video game repair website for about 60$. Dont try this unless you have some tecnical background though as this can be a bit tricky.
your error means this according to what I could find out : 80010514 - Disc error detected. Retrying operation. Do your other games work. If so, then you may have a bad game disc. Or it may be scratched or dirty. If your other discs work, then I would try this game on someone elses unit, or check it for dirt/fingerprints. If that doesnt work, you could try a cd lens cleaner disc..it may help.
