My xbox 360 has shown up one red flashing light and E73

but there is a way that you can play it.just heat up your xbox for couple of mins.then try again.it works.

Turn on unit until the red light flashes and the error code(E 73) shows up on the screen. Next insert toothpicks in the back of the console(while unit is running) into the cooling fans, this is to suppose to overheat the console and start two red lights flashing. Turn off console when this happens(unplug all cords from console) and turn the system back on.

check if you are getting any flashing red lights on your xbox 360 power up button, if you are not getting any flashing lights the probably you may try unplugging any Ethernet cable attached if you had tried connecting to Xbox Live and at that time you face this error, re-connect and check

Follow the steps below, Hope this helps

1. Turn off the xbox 360, disconnect the cables wait for 20 seconds reconnect the cables and turn it back on.

2. Remove the hard drive, turn on your xbox 360 without the hard drive.

3. Re attach the hard drive and turn on your xbox 360

4. If the steps wont resolve the issue, your console needs to be serviced. Contact Xbox Customer Support to check the warranty status of your xbox 360.. Good Luck!
