    My problem is much the same. The software CD I got with my K800i doesn't cater for Windows Vista driver installations. I noticed that apprentice gave a solution for resolving the problem... but can someone explain what the hell he meant?

I would agree with the guest user. I have a K800i and Vista and although the USB internet and drivers work, they do have a reputation to stop responding. If you have bluetooth then use that or buy a USB bluetooth stick.

There is a SE suite on the sony ericson website that caters for Vista. I am not sure how well it works as i still use XP.

www.sonyericsson.com Sign in and search for the software.

If not search for the SE suite on
www.download.com
they usually are pretty good for the suites like this.

I've found k800 drivers for vista.. there are some available.. bt not from SE/.. bt dnt remeber the link address.. try doing a google search.. Drivers are working 100% I've tested on my k800

click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam from there
if you are have trouble with your webcam

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark?
right click to reinstall drivers or update driver xp

Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right.

But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date.
But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing.

Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10).

Softwere doznot spport vista
You should have at least 120 MB free hard disk space.
Remove all old PC Suite files and do 2 restarts. Then download the latest version of Sony Ericsson PC Suite for your model.
Don't use PC Suite on the CD, download the latest from the www.sonyericsson.com when installed do another restart, before using it.
If the problem still occurs it may be due to Anti-virus or Firewall software interfering. To remedy this you could temporarily disable them prior to installing the Sony Ericsson software.
Installation problems in general can be caused by errors in the Windows Registry. If the problem is not solved you could run a Registry Scan Tool such as Regvac (www.regvac.com) to fix this.

Software corrupted?
Try the following. Leave it to charge for a couple of hours and then try Updating it with Sony Ericsson Update Service from their site using your data cable. If it says you already have the latest software force it to go on. Hope this helps.
