Try with F10 key at start up.

Restart the System, tapping the F10 key immediately. This should trigger the System to boot directly to the Recovery Partition, and initiate the VAIO Recovery Center, without requiring the Windows Operating System to load.

In the VAIO Recover Center, select the option 'Restore C: Drive' and follow the onscreen instructions to perform a C: Drive Recovery.

Performing a C: Drive Recovery will erase all the data present in the C: Drive and will reinstall the preinstalled Operating System, Applications and the original Drivers.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!

Hi,

The VAIO Launcher Software is responsible for the proper functioning of the AV Mode buttons. Please download and install the same in the computer from the below link:

Hi I have error message Ox00000F on my laptop though when i bought the cpu it didnt come with a windows reinstall disc. Oh im running Vista

You should be receiving this message after Vista is attempting to load. On newer computers, the Recovery and reinstall software is installed on another logical disk in your laptop. When you boot your PC from a cold-boot (meaning power has been off for at least 25 seconds) press F8 or F12 (not all pcs use same keys) hold the key for 2 seconds to get to the Advanced boot options. You must do this fairly quick or Vista will try to load. Once here you can choice from different options. The first thing I would try is "Last Known Good Configuration". Just use arrow keys to select it and press enter. If this doesn't correct your problem, then go back to the same menu and look for the option for the Recover Utility.

I have laptop sony vaio model vgn cr490 i have instoled new windo so igote sound problam pleas healp me . william.mk.

Try to insert the CD from VAIO that came with your purchase package. The CD shoul have the Driver for your soundCard. Try to run and install the soundCard Driver. Or perhaps it just an accidentally you put your MUTE button on Speaker? Try to remove the check-mark on the Volume button on your Windows. Good-Luck!

Problem with my 2 sony vaio vgn-s2hp

Hi there.
Are you sure it's the keyboard, or could you be applying pressure to the memory slots?
That's a common problem. Try pressing on the memory slot as if to push it into the board.
Please let me know how that works.
Thanks
