Our washing machine makes a loud, pulsing, screeching noise during the spin, rinse, and even the end of the 'normal' wash cycle. The drum is not rotating during any of these periods. Noise is normal during the agitator portion of the 'normal' wash cycle. Washer is a Whirlpool model LSR7233EQ0, manufacturing date 7/15/97. Please help!

Remove washer cabinet (easy to remove)and check that "base pads" (there are 3 pads, located under the main tub)are not worn. In case they are worn (even one of them), you should replce them all. Good luck !!

Squealing normal
occurs due to belt slippage. I would check your belts (look for cracks.
Check the belt tension as well, most washers have an adjustment,
normally on the motor that allows you to increase the tension of the
belt.
If part of a belt gets torn and it is long enough, it will hit any part of the washing machine within range and make a clicking noise at every revolution of the motor.
I am pretty sure you need new belts. You should be able to remove a few screws and open the back cover. Between the pulleys there is a tensioner...loosen that so you can remove the belt easily. replace it with a new belt and adjust the tension.
hope this helps

If the washer won't finish a spin cycle, it probably means that your timer went bad or stalled. You can take the control panel off and look at the contacts for scorching or corrosion.
Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided you are hearing a loud screeching noise during the spin cycle on your Electrolux washer. You will hear a certain amount of motor whine during the spin cycle this is a normal operation of your appliance. -Matt
