    1. Select Menu (or Home)>Network Settings and press OK.
    2. Select Turn Wi-Fi Radio On and press OK.
    3. Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard and press OK.
    4. Select the SSID (name) for your router.
    5. If you have your network secured, you must also enter your password.

    5. NOTE: If the message Your printer is already configured for Wi-Fi network appears, your printer cannot find your router.
    6. If this occurs, check that the router is turned on and located within 100 ft (approximately 30 m) of the printer.
    On The WiFi Status Indicator could be on, but you could be connected to the wrong router if you used the manufacturer's default SSID and password when you set up your router. If this is the case:
    1. Select Menu (or Home)>Network Settings and press OK.
    2. Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard and press OK.
    3. Select the SSID (name) for your router.
    4. If you have your network secured, you must also enter your password.
  3. Select Menu (or Home) from the printer control panel on the front of your printer.
  4. Select Network Settings and press OK.
  5. Select View Network Configuration and press OK.
Place the KODAK All-in-One Printer Software CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer.
Follow the on-screen instructions. Do one of the following depending on the version of KODAK All-in-One Home Center Software:
  • When the KODAK Printer Setup Utility screen appears, select how you want your printer to be connected:
    • USB cable
    • Wireless Wi-Fi® connection
    • Ethernet cable

Connect your printer to the computer and make sure that you have the latest Kodak All in One Home Center software installed on the computer.
To download the latest version of software, go to the link below:
kodak.com/go/5100downloads and install the software.

You can scan a picture either by using the scan button on the printer or by using the Kodak Home Center software.

There is one more way of scanning the picutre from MS Paint application in Vista and XP.

  • Open MS Paint and go to the "File" option on the top left.
  • In the Drop down menu, select "From Scanner or camera".
  • It will give you the choice to choose the desired USB device so selct the Kodak printer/scanner and the file be scanned in Paint.
  • Now you can save it as an image on the computer.

I can print from main computer, but are now unable to print from wireless laptop, which I could 2 week ago

assuming that your printer is physically connected to your main computer, and that your laptop is wirelessly networked with your main computer,

then you need to have the main computer on as you attempt to print from your laptop

yes offcourse ur dell inspiron 5100 laptop support wireless connection,and it will detect the wireless connection in ur computer,uninstall and reinstall the wireless driver and then try and connect to wireless connection,and what u can do is that reset the router and then try and connect to wireless network it will definately connect..and it will also detect the wireless signal also........good luck

My kodak 5100 printer is having problems printing black text

Clean the printhead, then print a demo sheet.
  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Printhead Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.
If the Demo print is bad- IE: no black, blurry print etc., then you may need to replace the printhead:

Wireless connection very low only on this laptop

Yes its the computer I have a 5100 with 512MB of Ram and constantly have problems with it.Are you using the internal wireless card? I recommend the Linksys Srx400

Also Try updating(flashing) the Bios here

Cell phone photo xfer

att/lg will not allow bluetooth wireless xfer of phots to a kodac kiosh... so i purchases amini memory card(which comes with a scandisk micro adapter.) i used my handset phone to move each photo to memory.......then used the card to xfer to my printer/ computer.. long process, but it worked...... thanks anyway...... i will keep you in my address ' RONZ5

Wireless Network Connection is very weak

Is the router near to any electrical devices that could be causing interferance? Try putting the router in a different location.
